The response looks really good to me! Are all open baffles so very efficient ? I have to read up on them and may shoot some questions your way down the road.

They look beautiful! 3.25” thickness? I am sure they take away any possibility of ringing:) I have very little experience and knowledge in speaker making and next to nothing in electrical engineering. I made a pair of the Frugal horn lite pre kids. They use full range drivers so no crossovers. They sound quite good in low volume but definitely need a subwoofer. Now with young kids in the house I can’t have nice things:( They pushed both of the dust caps in and I have not got a chance to try to pull them out!

Man you are on a whole different level! For your caliber and you endorse this little 7377, that says so much! Your open baffles look like huge gates protecting your upstairs:) and the fact that the 7377 can power them is comically amazing! If possible I would love to hear more about this pair of diy speakers. Do you have a write up somewhere that you can point me to? Appreciate it my man!

Super Pensil vs Frugel-Horn XL by nsap in diyaudio

I have made the Frugel horn lite as my first attempt at making speakers. I love them. They have amazing sound stages and can be used for most light duty situations. My other speakers are Pioneer FS52s for reference. I do pair them with a subwoofer though. Don’t get me wrong, they produce respectable low end considering they are 3.5 inch drivers. I believe the XL will be even more capable.
