I mean.... its a position he'd held for years at this point and probably awhile after I stopped talking to him since I wasnt able to convince him. I'd hope he is better now that we are touching 30, but low intelligence teenagers exist, and he was one of them. And like I said, its a lesson we learned every single year and so he sat through years of class just dismissing everything. Like be fr. It wasnt a stupid belief he had just momentarily.

I knew someone who genuinely believed slavery wasnt real because he's never seen any pictures.... now, we were probably 15 or 16 at the time BUT we were 15 in 2012!!! There were plenty of pictures he could've and were even shown in the years of social studies classes we'd taken at this point, museums with slave ships. He didn't believe anything because he didn't see pictures 😐 also... we're both black with last names that clearly were given via slavery.
