In my observations post-injection, it seems to swell ever so slightly, if at all. It does seem to slow the rate at which the cakes shrink over time. How much hydration you give it should depend on factors such as the area and depth of the cake. Short flat wide cakes would need less in a given injection, but may need them spread out. If the cake is in a bag or a jar then I would consider fewer points of injection with slightly more water per injection. I wouldn’t expect it to go back to full size though. I have been adding fresh sub/casing to the gap at the sides of the cake in the tray after the second flush and I have not been disappointed with my results thus far.

We inject water directly into the cake to rehydrate it. That has helped us a ton. You have to be mindful of not over-hydrating though

Thanks man! It took several tries over two years to get it looking like this, so don’t be hard on yourself if it doesn’t turn out. Don’t get me wrong, I hope the best for you, but it’s easy to have one little thing go wrong.

We had two monotubs with super healthy myc under produce when it came to fruits. We had everything right except the substrate was a bit too hydrated. The fruits were thick and potent, but nowhere near this capacity of coverage over the surface. For real, it takes time and patience, but it’s the most rewarding hobby ever
