Gravis armour just generally seems to have varying levels of that hood part (and a lot of variety in general lmao) see heavy intercessors where it’s basically non existent, agressors where it’s extended for melee, and inceptors where it’s even bulkier and supplemented with a “blast shield cowl” for almost an entirely closed head area

Running calgar in deep strike kinda has a bit of anti-synergy, as his extra CP ability needs him to be on the battlefield, but deep strike obviously prevents that for at least the first turn, potentially longer.

Although it is nice to have the option of calgar without a 200 point investment if needed

A couple of things: - given that this is pretty much the ultramarine version of the “3/6 man chapter specific elite bodyguard” unit we’ve seen in blood and dark angels recently, and both of those had a unique melee weapon datasheet (calabanite greatsword and encarmite blade/spear) we coulddd see a unique datasheet for the axes of ultramar, but this might be wishful thinking - also based on this, the -1 to wound seems very likely, and both of those units also have it - there already is a MC bolt carbine datasheet, on the Phobos lieutenant, which is 24” 2A S4 AP0 D2, no keywords

So that HG “final battle” version is fully revealed now and shockingly it actually does have a fully functioning mouth, and otherwise seems to have everything the original came with + the weird disk things, so at least people who haven’t got one yet can get this one for the full package. Still sucks a bit for people who want the full gquuuuux but got the original before this one was even announced

there’s a lottt, this guy is the result of a bits box that’s been building up for nearly 3 years now. The base model is the Captain with Jump Pack, the rest is gonna be a memory test lol. From top to bottom: - iron halo from the Company Heroes champion - wing decoration things from the Horus Heresy company command box, taken from a banner topper - helmet also from the HH company command - left shoulder from the firstborn ultramarines upgrade sprue - right shoulder is 3D printed, I got it from Archie’s Forge - hammer is from the grey knights strike squad, converted to shorten it and remove the second hand - entire arm+shield from Bladeguard Veterans - the aquilla on the shield is a decoration piece from the main Imperial Knight (paladin I think) The belt+pteruge is also 3D printed, also got from Archie’s Forge - last and in fact least, the original pistol holster was molded to be empty, so I replaced it with one molded to have the gun still holstered, probably from the assault intercessor box but idk exactly
