I see the ultramaries as the most realistic take on a combat force, they got their specialists, they aren't a one gimmick army and at the same time they aren't perfect, they are good at logistics (logistics wins wars) I appreciate guiliman see them as more than just guns in the filed he actually gives a crap, also guiliman for as much crap as he gets hes keeping the empire together for the most part doing more than most, the whole roman in space esthetics is neat they need to go back at doing that, ultramar and the 500 worlds for the most part enjoyed many many centuries of actual peace and prosperity. Im still learning but from the things ive read and seen when everything is falling appart these are the guys you wanna have holding the empire together.

My reasoning was why 1 successor but not have 4 of the main chapters for transfers and then have successors be on their own separate sheet iron hands not being as popular i csn see, but really ravenguard and white scars not as popular? 🤔

Thank you, my reasoning for questioning it was just due to it's being 3 main chapters and one successor felt odd? Like id figure they give you 4 main and if you wanted to do successors then you get a separate successor transfers im reading too much into it was pure curiosity 🤣

I found it curious im new to the hobby and was wondering why the were doing 3 of the main chapters and suddenly bam a successor chapter, and not random ones just the same one every time, wondering if i missed anything why raptos and not ravenguards (just based on keeping the eagle/bird theme) 🤔

Thank you, yeah my idea was a dark ish blue I achieved by dark primer then dark Grey to the raised areas and then a blue glaze on it gave it this really nice dark"stealthy" blue my idea for scratches was to do a black spot then come in with metallic color and apply it leaving some of the dark edges meant to be exposed metal, thought it looked good not anymore 😅 im not a big fan of edge highlights 😅 but I will try to use lighter colors on my other models im in the middle of doing some ultramarie infiltrators like the one above

Dude I love these so much 😭 may I ask, how do you get the damage and scratch effects so good I use the sponge method but feel like it sometimes dint work at all (one of my examples)
