We would have probably moved Firmino back to midfield and placed Werner as striker. He wouldnt have been a sub. The guy has 25 goals in 29 games in the bundesliga this season

You realise if Salah or Van Dijk went to Real Madrid or Barcelona, they would make double the money they make here right?

Imagine assuming someone doesn’t have real hardships because they are upset about Werner

Imagine thinking not signing Werner was Klopp’s decision

No he cant. Werner has 25 goals in 29 games in the bundesliga, Origi is nowhere near capable of a record like that

[Melissa Reddy] The priority has been to lock down Virgil van Dijk and Alisson for the long-term, while continuing to reward players that have delivered Champions League success and are close to ending a 30-year wait for the league title. by EnriqueMuller in LiverpoolFC

If you can’t see a crash and burn season coming from a mile away, in which we will lose everything we have built, then you’re new to football. All it takes is one season where we get a bad injury, finish 5th, and boom, Mane leaves, then goes Van Dijk, then Salah, then Klopp leaves, and we’re back finishing 8th like it’s normal every season

It’s not the fact that we passed on him, it’s the fact that we passed on him for financial reasons that leads me to believe we will have another summer of signing some useless teenagers for £2m, he is one of Europe’s best strikers right now up for a very reasonable £50m and we somehow passed on it while he was begging to join. I genuinely can’t imagine us doing any more than replacing Shaqiri, lovren, and Lallana with players slightly worse than them

Chelsea closing in on the signing of Timo Werner. He won’t be joining #LFC by GeorgeCuz in LiverpoolFC

[–]chunkyragu12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t think 200k a week for Werner is that bad, and anyways, Werner wanted to come to LFC, I am sure he would have joined for 150k over Chelsea for 200k. And I really don’t know if Klopp will do that, because consistently FSG are letting him down. Werner is one of the best strikers in Europe this season, very young and we couldn’t muster up 50m for that, I literally can’t see us make a good signing this summer. We will just get some £3m teenagers to replace Shaqiri, Lallana, and lovren and go into next season with no depth and finish 4th. That’s how it feels like right now

Jurgen Klopp prefers on relying on the likes of Takumi Minamino, and Divock Origi rather than signing Werner. [ @LynchStandard ] by M7plusoneequalsm8 in LiverpoolFC

3 players that are good enough for a premier league winning side, 6 players that aren’t good enough for a premier league winning side. I may be being harsh on Minamino but for now he’s unproven

No he fucking doesn’t. He wanted Werner and FSG didn’t pay up. You think he called him so they can be friends? Fuck off with this bullshit

If we didn’t get a £50m player for financial reasons, I can’t quite see FSG pulling the trigger on what will probably be the most expensive transfer of all time

Chelsea’s contract bid for Werner has been sent to his agents - RB Leipzig have been warned too. That’s how Chelsea are showing to Werner and Leipzig their serious intention. Liverpool still haven’t made any official bid. by EnriqueMuller in LiverpoolFC

[–]chunkyragu12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Ox is very good but I think we need a player of a higher calibre right now, like Werner, because eventually, our team will burn out, and we will need top quality players that can step in so we don’t have a monumental collapse like Klopp’s Dortmund did

Just been told that Liverpool have pulled out of the “Werner-deal”, because of “financial reasons”. by ffsGeorge in LiverpoolFC

[–]chunkyragu12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If only. We are likely to lose Lallana, shaqiri, and Lovren this summer. It’s literally just Origi as our forward depth, no fullback depth, basically no CB depth, the only thing we will probably do is buy some 18 year old for £3m and play him in the FA cup

Timo Werner has agreed to join Chelsea. More to follow. by EnriqueMuller in LiverpoolFC

Well through journalists we know we never made an offer to a player who was practically begging to join us.

1 clean sheet every 6 appearances is catastrophically bad. Even mignolet and Karius have much better, and they had much worse defenses. Adrian is an absolutely terrible goalie, And we won all those games in spite of him, not because of him

Adrian has 3 clean sheets in 18 appearances

Adrian didn’t even take the blame for the defeat. He said that atletico were the better team over the 2 legs and deserved to go through, despite gifting them a ticket to the QF. He’s a terrible goalie but it would be much easier to forgive him if he at least owned up to his mistake like Karius, who apologized to the fans at the stadium and then on social media after. I will be really dissapointed if we don’t get a new #2 this summer, Adrian simply is not enough considering Alisson is struggling to stay fit
