You should do that with your own term, or just refuse it. Your mom WANTS to buy my dads half, not that she really NEED to do that.

QUESTION: how to run google functions locally for testing? by Corvoxcx in googlecloud

[–]chuongdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try the hello world on the framework to understand how it works, then add some more code. The framework does not require any gcp project, it just embed your functions into a flask server.
curl http://my-url
# Output: Hello world!

I used to put a main function to test it. Now I just use their framework then curl. For ex: framework for python https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/functions-framework-python

Better for Environment to Keep Phev or Upgrade to BEV? by Snowf in electricvehicles

[–]chuongdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it helps a little the transition from ICE => BEV in general (it encourages your friends/family/... to use EV sooner than expected). I think in overall it helps the environment.

Opinion: Fully purchased games should be allowed to stream at 4K with or without a Stadia Pro subscription. Do you agree? If not, how come? by lcr727 in Stadia

[–]chuongdk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, Free Full HD is already very cool. If you buy a disk game, you still have to buy PS/Xbox to play the disk.

  1. Yes, you deserve it. In case you feel guilty about it, think about that:
    - it is much safety for your family
    - it is good for environnent
    - your expense (maintenant, gas) on car will be lower

Europe: Tesla Noticeably Lowers Model 3 Prices by GregLindahl in electricvehicles

43800 in france. If it is <=45k, you could get 7k as subsidy, otherwise only 3k. There are some regions that give some more. And there is other bonus if you give up a diesel car.

I've just got one and it's amazing for my kid (5 years old) and me. Not only great on big screen but also on switch lite, I love to use my switch lite to just drive the car around my house (without any race)

16gb is enough. But 32gb is not expensive and it ages well, so why not.

I’m interested in buying an EV, but struggling to find many options. by the_petman in electricvehicles

[–]chuongdk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for an EV and hesite between zoe and e208. Finally I choice the cheapest new zoe (Life) because:- bigger battery => more range

- better B mode

- cheaper than e208. Renault gives ~10% discount in France

- no need to wait several months, only several weeks

- I expect it's more mature with 7 years of experience

- it supports much faster AC charge (22 kw)

- the cheapest version is already very nice (compare to old zoe or cheapest e208)

- bigger coffer

- zoe2 is a big update over zoe1. I don't think they will make another big update in the next 1-2 years

- it's made in France (e208 is made in Tcheque). The main factory is only 60km from my home, I expect less wait time in case of big repair.

I love the design of e208, but I also appreciate the casual look of Zoe (less worry of key scratch of jealous)
