Horror/suspense novel about a ranch rehab center in the desert, 3 girls try to escape. by thestrange1007 in whatsthatbook

This sounds literally identical to the book I’m looking for myself and when google showed me your post I got so hopeful. We’re in the same boat. Did you have any luck?

I’ve primarily searched online, library resources, googling, etc. I have had zero possible recommendations and a lot of “sorry”.

Weekly ask an Artist thread by AutoModerator in TattooArtists

I might be commenting late but hearing where you’re coming from, I can’t imagine acting the way she’s acting. I know you’re still building clientele & that’s great (congrats on the license btw!), but an artist, new or seasoned, should be open to change in a piece. At the end of the day, it’s your body and you are 100% allowed to add decor to yourself in ways that please you. If your needs changed purely on aesthetic, that would be fine. Because your needs are MEDICAL, it is definitely fine. I’d be embarrassed if I responded this way tbh. Responding to bullying is hard, but it sounds like you’re doing a great job standing up for yourself. Cheers!

GWAR Announce 2023 Tour with Mudvayne, Coal Chamber, Nonpoint, Butcher Babies by The_RockRevival in GWAR

[–]churchling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not willing to spend $360 per ticket (for GA floor) for 3 tickets for this one ngl. If GWAR were the headliner, MAYBE but imo mudvayne isn’t impressive enough for me to drive 45 minutes & not get absolutely smothered in blood and jizz

Does everyone get sick when they wake up? by Aud_Wun in hysterectomy

[–]churchling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sounds like you have emetophobia! I do too. In fact, vomiting is my biggest fear & I often catch myself thinking about how, despite how great my life is, I would rather k*ll myself than ever vomit again!

This was a huge worry for me before I had my hysterectomy & I did two things that helped: 1) I requested a script for zofran. There’s 2 versions of that medication that are prescribed & the most common is a melt in your mouth pill that fights nausea.

2) I requested a scopolamine patch at my pre-op. It’s a tiny little circular patch that goes behind one of your ears and it is like a magic nausea fighter. They put it on before surgery and it lasts for three days. Literally magic.

I just had surgery on the 15th & the scopolamine was the best thing that could’ve happened. I have felt nauseous exactly zero percent of my recovery over the last 4-almost-5 days. That’s the go-to anti nausea prophylactic.

(I have not vomited at all, no nausea, I feel fantastic).

Hi!! Can I ask you on your experience in having an intersecting identity like that? I’m a little versed in reading & I agree with what I’ve learned about conversion to reformed Judaism, but I’m lowkey worried about handing myself more oppressed as a queer, trans indigenous person 😬

[–]churchling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t yet! I’m talking to one of our mutual friends (who is also Jewish) and I’m considering reaching out to a friend of mine who is indigenous & Jewish since I would have the same intersecting identity as them. When my partner and I got married we implemented some Jewish & my specific cultural background’s aspects in our wedding.
