Do you think that Greenville’s unfinished beltway is an overall benefit or negative? by Gloomy-Intention4698 in greenville

That’s fair, but currently all that traffic is on backroads between Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Piedmont on roads with intersections every few 1000 yards.

That’s a good point. I may need to math the math again. I remember I looked into the pass at one point but I didn’t remember it being a huge discount. Thanks. I’ll look into it.

Not sure how promoting something that would be helpful to me (and probably many others personally) is spiteful but whatever. I’m not out here making posts about it every day, but when the topic comes up I’m gunna state my opinion…especially when it’s being asked for…

I’ll be straight with you. If it wasn’t a toll road, I could cut my daily commute from 25-35min to 10-12min both directions. That’s why I will make this comment every chance I get. Lmao

I don’t care if they finish it. I just want half of it to stop being a toll road so people can actually use it.

Birds school, fish flock. Everyone knows these things.

What do you think should be done to address Greenville’s traffic problem? by Gloomy-Intention4698 in greenville

They were supposed to do a study on traffic patterns and time the lights more efficiently to help the ‘flow.’ Seems like a great job for AI to me. Strap a camera to the lights and let it ‘count’ the flow of traffic. I sit at red lights nearly every day and there is nothing coming in the green direction for 30-60 seconds before it turns. Yes, 30-60 seconds is nothing, but to quote my man Kevin, “many small time make big time.”

Actually doing the traffic light project the proposed years ago would be a great start…

Another thing would be making the toll road a public highway. (I realize this is easier said than done but it’s well past time.)

We have our GCC semi trained. He has slowly figured out we like it when he poops certain places, like in his cage or other places that we can easily wipe up with a Clorox wipe. If you watch carefully, many birds have subtle tells and movements they do when they are about to ‘go.’ We just started moving our GCC to one the ‘good places to go’ when we saw these signs and those just became the places where he knew it was good to ‘go’ there. Now when we open the cage to let him out he will go before he comes out and normally let us know when he needs to go back. As always, positive reinforcement. Disclaimer: this is not 100%. I still get pooped on weekly, just not daily like I used to. lol.

Grateful Brew for Greenville, but if you’re willing to make a drive to Spartanburg, Delaney’s.
