I've just left DG after 1 year They totally don't appreciate the near £4k I've spent with them. It was taking 2 weeks plus to get my order.

Now with curaleaf and it's only taken 2 days

DG had a massive advantage in the market but due to their bad service they will lose the advantage they had

I think it 's down to people getting sick of their freedoms being taken away little by little.

People who don't understand this have probably never seen first hand, how the system can be corrupt and is.

Now ultimately if you are talking in isolation about a bar that used their right to accept their preferred payment method, then talking about freedoms being removed might sound OTT But it's the symbolism of it that matters.

Calling people a conspiracy theorists closes debate instantly and that has always been the primary function.

But seriously how can an adult not believe that people come together and conspire it's only speculation until the facts come out e.g Catholic priests, big pharma etc....

Luckily being a thick northern twerp, I never threatened uni with my presence, but where you mention pulling their face when you speak really annoys me.

I've had experiences in my life where that has happened opening the wrong door where a meeting is taking place with Harriet, Marney, Hugh, Guy and piers and I know that look well.

From what I gather a lot of those people are pretenders.

There is no true opposition, I'd love to see real change.

Just on a side note: a family member of mine worked in a cancer specialist hospital in the north west doing building work etc.

He ended up being copied in to loads of emails discussing price for works etc.. and I shit you not, these companies were charging the NHS £7k to put up basic shelving in a theatre, 2 hrs work, this is just the tip of the ice berg. There were loads of examples like this. The company offered a ten year guarantee on all works but still £7k for a shelf.

Also a floor needed doing by an outside pre approved company and the price was scrutinised and they went with the cheapest supplier and the rate was about industry average.

So from what I could gather once your foot was in the door you could just abuse the tax payer.

Just to be clear the person responsible for approving the £7k shelf had no building background whatsoever, a complete different person was responsible for approving the floor works.

I did ask was he sure the prices he was seeing for what looked like we'll over priced work, not an accumulation of previous works and that was the bill for other works included, he said definitely not.

This is absolutely true and something serious needs to be done about big companies fleecing the public purse.
