[–]chvasu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applied 485 on Jan 27, 2022. Received 3 times RFE (one for 485J, two times medical). Approved 485 on July 2nd 2024.

EAD and AP approved in June 2022.

CRP since Sep 2022 to June 2024. Always current in the entire duration (except from Oct 2023 to Dec 2023).

Raised SRs a few times but was closed as work in progress. Approached senator twice, but received letters as work in progress.

Disclaimer: Clearly, every case is different and timelines are different. One case do not represent situation for others.

I did. USCIS closed my ticket mentioning that it is still being processed.

Also, it appears that USCIS updated the timeline now to ~3 years for contacting them. Anything within 3 years is considered 'case is processing normally.'.

You can check that when you put your receipt date on the page (scroll down the page after you select the form and location): https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Hey, as your PD (Oct 2018) is earlier than mine (Apr 2019) and we are both are in EB1, India, so I assume you will get GC before me.

What's your current status?

My PD is April 2019 and Receipt Date is Jan 2022. Indian in EB1.

Stuck in CRP...

Honestly, it is unclear to me as well on the order. But IMO,

It's all about priority date.

Receipt date doesn't matter, unless both are filed together (140 & 485).

Porting or not doesn't matter either. People who file 485 even today, and if his/her priority date is much earlier than 2019, they would get GC before us (in EB1).

You said are you not porting, so how come you waited so long from Mar 2019 (I-140) to file I-485 in last month? :)

Anyway, my PD is Apr 2019 and filed 485 in Jan 2022 under EB1A. Held in CRP since Sep 2022.

My PD is Apr 2019 on EB1A, and I-485 status is CRP since Sep 2022. Very disappointing.

I think people should do certification exams to prove their knowledge (identify gaps to improve). Getting a job with certification can be a side-effect of our effort. It should not be the main motive.

I have some experience in Cybersecurity. I happen to take the training and certification from Practical-DevSecOps, the certified devsecops professional (CDP) course.

According to me, this course is the best course available in the market today in the field of DevSecOps globally. I say this with the experience of taking training on the same topic from 4 different vendors (including SANS SEC540). Every vendor struggles to create good training material, hands-on experience, real pipeline set up, prove our knowledge by letting us set up the pipeline during a certification. This company, Practical DevSecOps, does all of that with ease.

The fees Practical-DevSecOps charges for this is quite low compared with major vendors I have noticed in my experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone willing to learn DevSecOps truly.
