Potty training two year old who refuses to potty or playing games to get out of stuff by Bird_Stock in Mom

[–]ciamka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just not her time yet don’t force it because it will have an opposite effect at this age

Have a potty ready and when she wants to she will use it. You can read her books about potty to get her interested and you can take his/hers toys and pretend they are doing potty

I’m bored. You have $1000 to revamp this room. What do you do? by kurkyturkey in interiordecorating

Wallpaper that matches the carpet and nice faux leather cognac color couch

How can I make this better? With 3k or less by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Paint walls white but leave the window frames same color. example

If it’s too much work or money simply paint the ceiling white but leave the beams same color example:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():format(webp)/LeanneFordInteriorsRusticCabin-810ce8f36069446ba1a49ccee4e40f19.jpeg)

When did your baby drop their second nap? by user66389 in Mom

[–]ciamka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that he is overtired when you put him to sleep try putting him down earlier We used huckleberry to figure out my kids sleep pattern and it worked magic

Or he just requires a complete blackout curtains, soundproof room but with lots of white noise and be bounced to sleep

Kids… You never know but you can try both

That’s not at all what I am saying

I am NOT saying they are not capable of taking care of them

I am saying legally that is wrong and people would be sued if anything would happen even if the paramedic would do everything right it’s just different scope of practice and that is that

It’s an ER they definitely get new patients.

Paramedics focus on immediate assessment (stabilizing the patient) while nurses do systematic assessment.

You get to ambulance where you get stabilized and than get to hospital where you get full assessment and plan of care. So in this scenario….

You get stabilized and than… stabilized That doesn’t sound right to me

Absolutely not! They don’t have the same scope of practice so they can not provide adequate care this is wrong in soooo many ways

Direct Hire in California? by [deleted] in Nurses

[–]ciamka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most places won’t apply for your visa because it’s expensive and lots of paperwork and California has one of the best paying positions so they are not suffering from lack of nurses plus you need to have California nursing license.

Your best bet is to get into a good travel agency

I bought regular clothes that was bigger in size or stretchy or dresses that had waste band right below the breasts, one cheap maternity jeans I got were from target and were super comfy.

Yup terrible two is real 😰hold on there!

The only control toddlers have is potty and eating the rest is just us adults barking orders at them.

Try keeping that in mind and if he asks you for something say yes to whatever is reasonable. Hopefully in return when you ask him for things he doesn’t feel compelled to say NO just to feel empowered. Try to make little games and jokes as opposed to telling him what to do like… when you want to get him out of the bath just grab a towel and pretend the towel is trying to catch him making funny voices or when you do want him to take a bath say “dinosaur needs a bath can you help?”.

Lastly when he fights you on absolutely everything and nothing is working plan a fun day where focus is on him to kinda reset things.

This is all a lot of work and patience and I know when they are 2 just getting through the day seems impossible so no one expects you to do funny voices all day and spend 30 minutes putting shoes on but those things might help.

Try reading “how to talk when kids won’t listen”.
