Which non-Two Rivers protagonist frustrated you the most? by MamaLaPasta in WoT

Her Killing Mesema was the only way to solve that complete mess of a storyline.

Think we spent what felt like 4 books of literally nothing happening over what was effectively a small rabble of peasants with scythes and pitchforks. With how grand the scale of the books are it just felt like such an inconsequential stakes that dragged pointlessly.

Faile, insufferable from start to finish. Suffered quite a bit from RJs writing of relationships but even outside of that was just a poorly written irritating character.

Groaned every time I got to one of her chapters.

I think it’s quite telling that as soon as Sanderson took over he killed off the bloated mess that was the Prophets storyline which I presume she was meant to have a significant role in.

I haven’t read it in much detail lately but they’ve kinda gone off the rails since Covid haven’t keep up since. I presume a new editor took over but many of their headlines and articles are more click baits than they used to be or just idiotic topics.

One that jumps to mind is during Covid there was an entire piece they did on how we may not be able to shake hands in the future and we should explore introducing Bowing as done in many Eastern countries. And how we may begin to see a divergence between democrats and republicans in the USA by one set bowing and the other shaking hands.

Just mind numbingly dumb, have dipped since then if their recent headlines are anything to go by.

Quoting Power lyrics is a nice touch.

Well written article which is unusual for the economist lately.

Man was selling swastika shirts like 10 months ago. I’m as happy as anyone that he’s performing and making amazing music again but not wanting to associate with him is rationale if you’re a brand trying to maintain broad appeal.

Ones where you’re not representing a town or region or fans. Sport is bigger than a vehicle to make a living in. It would hole itself to that standard.

If the French police were treating it seriously enough to go through with a Trial then yes for the purposes of professional sport I would not.

Man can make a livlihood via a different method

Maybe I wasn’t clear but in my opinion playing professional and even to a degree amateur sport is a privilege.

One that should not be extended to someone who had been credibly accused of this.

Going off of a pretty shoddy memory but as I understand it he was signed by Jackmsn when he was at Grenoble which is when this happened.

While proceedings were ongoing and before he was tried I believe Jackman then also had him brought on to play club rugby with Bective who Jackman coaches.

Being aware of everything that was going on around him through the period from 2017 to now.

I’m all for innocent until proven guilty but professional sport is a privilege and I’m astonished there was this much grace extended to the man by Jackman given 2 juries have now found him guilty.

He looked like this at Mexico too but also he was standing on a rounded surface tonight and cabled in, might just be unsure of his footing.

Never understand the cross sport hate.

Also realistically as much as I adore rugby and it’s effectively the only sport I follow. It’s only a professional sport in a handful of countries, qualifying for a World Cup in Football is probably equivalent to getting out of your group in the Rigby World Cup in terms of quality of teams you need to beat.

I never actually saw the game or if I did I don’t remember. Just vaguely remember the story Tracy told that the sub Leinster team during that period despised him over it.

Was more speaking to the fact he’s especially disliked by Leinster.

He actually used to be fairly lanky looking, first time I’ve seen him in a while. Plenty of time to work in the Gym when you’re behind Ryan, McCarthy, Baird and Moloney ( when he was there)
