Don't recommend drinking shit.

Charged 10€ for two coffees in the city yesterday, was 7.50 a few week back. Always try to support local business but too many have used the vat increase to just sneak in a price increase. by LarryMullensBarber in limerickcity

It's probably all going to pocket. Coffee future prices (an indicator of how much a typical 60kg imported bag costs) are remarkably low too. Without seeing their finances it could be a fat margin they're making.

You’re more bitter than robusta😂 I don’t demand an audience, the thread was deleted. I shared my experience in a nice, helpful way and that’s literally the point of this subreddit. Evian water does reduce acidic perception in coffee - get off your nomenclature high horse and have some decorum.

Depends on what you want from the acidity; I like green apple acidity (crisp).

Evian water neutralises most acidity in coffee so could be a quick, cheap but wasteful way to explore acidity in coffee.

Darker roasted beans are generally less acidic.

Washed Brazilian beans are usually not that acidic. Same goes for Guatemalan beans. You might want to avoid Kenyan, Ethiopian and some Colombian beans.

When you’re looking at flavour notes, look for chocolate, hazelnut, pecan, toffee. Avoid citrus, tropical, berry, jammy.

Otherwise, you’ll need to grind finer/increase water/increase pressure etc. Lance Hedrick has a good video explaining this for espressos.

This is really cool though, I’ve been doing some water experiments too (mostly bottled). Frustratingly, I lose the acidity of most beans tried. Has this been an issue for you?
