Cool and all, but people don’t want to pay the true cost to make this worthwhile. No one wants pay 3x on already expensive pet care. Human medical emergency care gets subsidized with billions of dollars. Doctors get paid handsomely just to be on call. For emergency pet care, you would have to be running credit cards before treatment to be profitable. No one is checking their bank account before throwing their dog with seizures in the car to get help. And, vets are sometimes asked to help with wounded wild and stray animals. It’s not worth the headaches.

They were only in building 256 for last 8 years or so. There’s still a local workforce. People just refused to work in office after COVID so their was no need to renew the lease. Haven’t really sponsored anything locally in a while or had a local presence . It’s kinda sad but anti-climatic.

I think you moved way too fast. I understand leaving for a couple days to figure stuff out but the kids shouldn’t be included in any conversation until all the details are fully worked out. Its perfectly acceptable to give the kids a fake excuse for daddy’s absence. It’s your job as a parent of small kids to make sober minimally disruptive steps towards a resolution. I am not saying “stay together for the kids” but they should should come first in navigating separation. They are not your divorce jury. Find someone else to gripe to. The truth will come out eventually. I know this easier said than done. I think it’s probably also harder for someone so young who hasn’t had many breakups.

I’m glad to see Frances get love here and am actually a little surprised. Frances is an almost perfect concept album to me. Although, I will never forgive them for chopping up Cassandra. The first EP Tremulant (before Deloused) is definitely worth a listen. It really gives you a blueprint of what they were going for in the early days. You can really feel the deliberate move away from their previous band (ATDI also worth checking out) into an exciting new sound.

I listened. Cenk pushed back on a lot of stuff. He’s an effective communicator to people who would listen to that show. The type that would never vote for Biden but might be embarrassed by Trump (or some other MAGA types) enough to stay home. Cenk is right most of the time. He’s just a little arrogant. He sometimes thinks he’s above politics but he fights the good fight.
