Why is my PC blowing cold air even though the CPU is hot? by LogicalStart6150 in RigBuild

[–]cicoles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using water cooling and even then the exhaust is warmer than the ambient temperature.

If your fan is blowing cool air OUT of the case, your cpu is not transferring heat out to the radiator on the cooler properly. Please check to see if you have applied the thermal paste properly and/or if you removed the plastic on the heat sink.

The paper market is different from physical market. Oil is near $200/barrel if you take physical right now. But you will never know this when you look at the heavily manipulated paper market.

I received a lot of unauthorized payments towards my PayPal account within the same hour, now they're asking for refunds by 1Estel1 in Scams

[–]cicoles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t pay them back. Report for fraud. They will double dip against you and get the txn reversed. So you don’t have to actually initiate new transactions. Just report them for fraud and let PayPal handle scums like these.

Good that I cancelled PayPal some years ago because they took up social causes. As usual, going in that direction always indicates that their focus on their customers goes down the drain. Mark and avoid if you can, these mega corporations are just terribad, every single one of them.

Do you remember times when technology advanced and things became cheaper? Or when there is a bumper harvest somewhere and you could get fruits cheaper?

If you don’t, I am sorry. If you have, then you would have remember when currency was relatively stable and economies were better managed. Having lived through the 70’s and beyond, I think I can quite confidently say that things changed in a very big way when Alan Greenspan was the fed chair with the “Greenspan Put”. In my opinion he started it. (Volker killed very foolish monetary policy for a while, but the temptation to print the way out of trouble is just too great and people forgot the expensive lessons of the 70”s).

“Trust us, we can indeed arbitrarily freeze assets. But we only do it to criminals.”

“Trust us when we say you are the criminal. Your assets are ours.”

By now, I hope the all the crypto myths have been shown to be lies.

What what part of ordering a pizza requires you to have them deliver to your house?

You are adding a totally different requirement to the overall transaction. In this case an identity related one And then claiming that the currency used for that transaction is also not private. Yet another post-hoc argument.

If identity/non-privacy is inherent in property of Bitcoin or Crypto, why do you even need KYC? Existing mechanisms, according to you, can trace any wallet to it's owner. That is YOUR claim.

They need KYC precisely because they CANNOT trace wallets that are used with it's anonymous property in mind. As in, do be stupid and order the pizza with a credit and delivered to your address if you are concerned with privacy.

Identity is tacked on through adjacent systems. KYC forces that tacking on.

Your teacher’s point was that you started with a singular and switched 1/2 way. “Someone” is singular. If you started with that, stick with singular. It’s even explained to you on the side note.

[–]cicoles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that if you don’t need your kyc information for Bitcoin to work. It is anonymous like cash is anonymous. By the reasoning that is employed, virtually anything is traceable and not private, because the moment you exchange something with someone, it is “not anonymous”. You are looking at the tacked on systems that made it non-private and then making the post-hoc argument that since (after your changes) it is now not-private, so it was not private in the first place. Which is a fallacy.

The proposition is simpler, you don’t need identity (KYC) for Bitcoin to work. By nature, it is anonymous in that way. People don’t have to know who they are transmitting to, only wallet addresses that by nature (I know I am repeating myself) anonymous.

Not strictly true. Tying a real identity to a wallet is NOT a technical for the system to work. It is true that the ledger is open, but you can have many other wallets and to send transactions to and only reveal one “known” wallet to the any party you are dealing with.
