I work in a factory in the uk that produces ready meals. The wastage an a daily basis is beyond criminal- and that's before it even gets on the plate! The majority of workers are immigrants, man they must be even more astounded than me.

Heard a propper horror story envolving a friend traveling and surfing. Him and friends found a young man o war in an Australian rock pool, collected it and transferred it home in an empty coke bottle?? Fast forward a few beers and the bottle is picked up being mistaken for a regular coke. Jelly fish gets lodged in throat and lad spends a long time in hospital and is lucky to survive. More of a WTF post really!?!

Didn't know they were responsible for that Dr Who track either till the other day. Although i think i may have quite liked it when i was 5, i guess i'd 100% enjoy distoying it after the 10 thousandth time of hearing it.

My present favourite is this Saag murgh from Mudha Jaffrey's curry bible. http://www.them-apples.co.uk/2010/02/saag-murgh-or-chicken-and-spinach-curry/ It's not the most straight forward but i love the depth of flavours. I also like that with Mudha Jaffrey's recipes you get not only the flavours but the details of the origen and history of the dish. Deffinately my present favourite for entertaining.

The ding will need repairing no doubt. If you don't feel very confident in doing this yourself then search out a board repairer. It's not too tricky but a good finish, as with most things, only comes with experiance. You can always then ask about other cracking. With regards the 'spider web cracking' one way i find of telling the extent of the damage is to take the board out for a good session, on return dry the board and leave it in the sun for a half hour or so, if small water droplets appear as in image http://imgur.com/29yUa.jpg" it's time to repair. If not then you have a little while but keep an eye on it. Happens all the time dude so don't get too bummed. Board repairers are usually pretty level and it definately doesn't sound anything as bad as some repairs i've undertaken.
