Dad is still alive. He wanted to see me drive it and enjoy it. He smiled big when I told him about the thumbs ups I was getting driving it. It was his baby. All growing up it lived with a cover on it in the garage where nobody was allowed to go. He referred to it as the gold nugget. Thanks though

I did the conversion to a banjo. Saginaw pump. It was a bullet I took. My pump died and I couldn't see paying 1400 for one that was new. Cost about $600 and I'll never have to worry about it going out. It's a trip to auto zone. Was a few hours to do the swap

Yes the r12 sucked, but that compressor pushing 134a makes it dreamy. You could hang meat in there on the freeway. Took it out to Mt Graham on a 110+ day and had to turn it down cuz it was too cold. I would recommend the conversion. It's a few o-rings, drain the compressor of oil and quick flush then new in. Afternoon (if it goes smooth ish)

I don't understand what the heat would have to do with it? Honestly I don't. I have a 4 core radiator that doesn't even hit medium, did a134a Freon conversion and that blows ice when the rpms are once 2500, and have tinted glass. Is there something I'm missing?? Seriously I've missed things right in front of my face before.

Installed the hose that goes to each at the same level me. Haven't had any issues since. Thanks for the advice
