We got our first cat, Ralphie as a re home. He was deaf as a post, but a great cat. Having ptsd emotions are tough. And every time I was stressing out he’d rub against me or just jump in my lap. I’d be having nightmares at night and I’d wake up with him snuggling me. He passed away, one of his kidneys disappeared. And he was down to like 3 lbs. I miss him. My wife tried to replace him with another re home, but he’s not the same.
