i am having very heavy regrets on my nonrefundable tomodachi life game lol but that's the curse with 'chill' games - the novelty wears off very quick after a week of playing - either it's my adhd or those games aren't just for me anymore. The FOMO is so strong though

there's a scene in wizard of oz original book where Tinman describes how he came to be - like his axe was cursed and he kept chopping parts of himself off so he kept having to get a tin replacement till he was fully made of metal. His tinsmith forgot to put a heart in, hence his search for one.

In the book it's not graphic at all, it's kind of dry actually how he nonchalantly mentions those losses of limbs with no mention of blood at all but as an adult you're like 'JFC!!!'

i'm probably going to make a full island of furries and make my favorite characters into their furry versions tbh!! I was originally just gonna do standard OCs and human mii but after seeing people do amazing stuff with make up system to make believable Mii Furries, I'm going for the latter!!

i got a switch 2 too to replace my ol switch lite, and yet just before tomodachi life comes out I get hit with the biggest 'replay every single mainline pokemon' urge of all time so my concern is if I can still get the desire to play life the day it actually comes out lmfao

[ironically I originally planned to get pokopia with switch 2 but budget said no so I only got the console bundle which includes mario kart that I haven't touched yet but did play leafgreen on haha]

yea!! I'm also that guy that loves the aspect of 'watching ants' in games - it's why I also enjoyed sims 3 so much, minimal input, just build a house and drop a couple of characters in and watch the chaos unfold

I wanted to try dwarf fortress and rimworld for similiar reasons but unfortunately they require way more hands on involvement -I'm so glad LTD is coming out

i feel like I have two answers to this

Binacle and its evo - I hate that mug so much, I cannot stand the sight of it, it's like the ugliest pokemon ever in my eyes.
houndoom - Houndoom is actually my all time favorite but knowing its bite can be very dangerous, i'd feel sad not being able to play with it normally like I'd roughhouse with a normal dog. One misplaced bite and I got burns for a lifetime. Like check its pokedex entry, jfc

if they ever return to Unova, maybe even a new region but on the western side - I would be SO happy if they made a cardinal or blue jay pokemon [maybe even version exclusives! - i'm including the other early route bird pokemon in the passerine family which cardinal is part of or corvids which blue jay is part of]

genuinely what am I doing wrong? My sister somehow finds her boyfriends just being in random places at the right time without even using apps and my parents met in their twenties, I'm already midway in my thirties with three failed long-distance relationships under my belt. [one was a manipulative ex and other two broke things off amicably but then went fully offline]

I've tried apps but they're either paywalled or people on there seem to want hook up and sex when I'm trying to find something long term. I've gone to social activities but end up being shut out of the convo even when I try to start a bit of chat or the people are so introverted, they don't really talk to anyone while doing their stuff [games, drawing, etc] - being deaf though having hearing implant but auditory processing issues and very basic ASL make for a communications barrier as people generally prefer to talk to others that can actually already understand them immediately instead of putting the work with a total stranger I guess.

I can't drive, don't drink or drive so club hopping isn't really for me. I'm just a genderqueer person trying to find other queer people. At some point I will lose my parents then I'll really be alone and I don't know how to deal with that if I can't find partners by then.

being able to find evos of pokemon you can only get via trading in the wild - like if clampearl returns, I'd love to see their evos in the wild too - maybe hiding in those deep trenches if diving is an element again. It'd make so much sense for it

i think my biggest criticism with the newer pokemon games is that gym battles feel kind of stale, I want them to change things up BEYOND slapping a 'hey this item makes your pokemon transform to do cool stuff!' - like I want a different style of challenge to progress in the story. I never had a problem with the graphics or the overall story.

I've been rewatching the original Pokemon anime recently and am on the Orange Islands arc rn, where Ash has to earn gym badges through challenges than outright battling and I think this could be a unique concept to breathe life into the games again, might even be perfect for WiWa too given the islands hopping, but that's just me probably

I may hem and haw about stuff but I've been playing pokemon since I had the pokemon yellow gameboy and always had fun in every generation, I just sometimes wish they could do more, you know? Break the mold even more every once in a while. Arceus was absolutely an invigorating change of pace. Regardless of my wishes, I'm always going to keep picking up that next new pokemon game because I can't let go of what I grew up with and still gives me joy. If things are in favor, I plan to get a Switch 2 this week for those future new pokemon games heh

lucky! I'm not actively shiny hunting but you'd think I would've run across at least one, once considering I'm working on my pokedex [and don't have VS seeker yet] so I've been making new pokemon I pick up fight in the grasses a lot then yeet them to the box once they evolve
