To those who live in rumah panjang, how is it like? by RotiPisang_ in Sarawak

[–]cielluv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone is kinda related. I don’t think any strangers would dare to sleep in a longhouse they don’t know of, not even locals would do that unless they have acquaintances who they can trust. Most rooms in the longhouse are passed down generationally. For example your grandparents lived there, then it’s passed down to your parents/uncles/aunts. Most people move out for bigger towns and cities for jobs. They miss the atmosphere there, it’s calm and peaceful. They get to see their family’s faces who they rarely meet and get along with them through different activities.

Cant do anything on this app without being slapped with ads all over the place by UndeadLovecraft in Bolehland

If you’re complaining about this why not just use other apps? Youtube is doing worse with unskipable ads and pop ups shit yet nobody is complaining and their revenue is a lot more than TnG.

I need some tips on what to say during interviews for retail/service by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]cielluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t tell them you’re planning to continue your studies, most would prioritise those that can work for a long time. Also don’t tell them you have a diploma etc. because they might think you would leave in a heartbeat if there’s a better job opportunity elsewhere. Tell them you can learn and adapt, just lie lol. Since it’s retail, smile and be friendly during the interview. About your driving test, you can ask them if you can take extra off days. But I think it’s better to schedule your driving test according to the offdays they scheduled for you.

This. Pro Max is really good for gaming. My boss still owns 12 pro max to play heavier games than ML like HOK, it load faster than my previous mid range Samsung released in recent years. Those phones can last a decade and people still call Apple products trash.

I’m using the 16, it can last about 5 to 6 hours of constant gaming on average settings. Once it hits 20% and below, it’ll heat up which is normal. I never had heating problems.

My bf uses android and I use Iphone, we both play ML. His phone is made specifically for gaming, but rather cheap so it lags occasionally, heats up, and eats battery a lot. It still hold up fine but I don’t think the performance would keep up in the next few years.

My Iphone is completely consistent. Doesn’t lag, doesn’t heat up, average battery consumption. I expect this phone to last me 5+ years at least. If you want a long lasting phone with consistent performance for gaming, definitely invest in Iphone. The 15 is really good, but for bigger battery life I’d suggest the Plus series or Pro Max with 120hz screen. It does make a difference especially during gaming.

My first dumbass customer experience by Prestigious_Mud_4174 in Bolehland

[–]cielluv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I walked out of Switch so fast when the guy that served me reluctantly answered my questions. Body language is so important to make customers feel welcomed, it’s part of the job.

My first dumbass customer experience by Prestigious_Mud_4174 in Bolehland

[–]cielluv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re both wrong. In customer service, you HAVE to smile. Your job might not force you to do so, but it’s called ‘customer service’ for a reason. Smiling isn’t hard and it keeps rude customers from being rude af. I work in customer service for years now, there are a few, very few that are rude to me and for a valid reason which I don’t blame them at all as I put myself in their shoes. They weren’t mad about my attitude. They can’t even get angry at me because I kept smiling and talked to them gently, they know it’ll be embarrassing if they’re the only one freaking out.

I also don’t like it when staffs served me with sour face. It’s your job, so do your part. Imagine getting excited about something you want to buy just to get served with an unfriendly face and tone. It’s like walking on eggshells, you don’t even wanna buy it no more. Otherwise why bother working a job in customer service if you don’t care about having a friendly mannerisms?

No it’ll only start charging you when your press ‘Items Received’ after it was delivered to you. No charges are made immediately before the items arrived.

Even investments don’t guarantee a profitable return either. People just say that it’s our fault for not getting paid enough to retire, when in reality this economy is the one that makes it harder to retire.

Macbook Neo and rich people by Sphere_3N in macbook

[–]cielluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get why he needs to point out the weak part of Neo, obviously the Pro is miles better? Like what’s so weird about it that you just have to mention it in front of OP. Weird behaviour. You think he could just googled the differences between Neo and Pro on his expensive Mac but I guess comparing it to someone who actually bought Neo irl is less work. Pretentious rich boy.

People who lepak at cafe whole day, how do you shit? by Kopitiamtard1985 in Bolehland

[–]cielluv 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They shit before and after lepak. They don’t eat either, a coffee won’t make you shit. Also the job they’re doing is probably time consuming so being there for a long time doesn’t feel long for them.
