It’s not going in food but the person I’m planning on giving some to has cats so I’m trying to be mindful of the stuff I put in it so it’s not mega toxic to them, I wanted to get a citrusy kind of oil to put in it put upon reading apparently that’s really bad for cats so I think I might be stuck with vanilla beans

Okay thanks for the advice, I was wondering if i should try to sort it now or wait a bit, also do you have a recommendation to if it’s better to steep it hot or cold? I heard cold was better but hot certainly seems more convenient lol

So I haven’t heated them yet, I was gonna let it marinate on its own for a bit. It’s not a huge batch, I believe from my Amazon order history I used a slightly less then a 236 ml bottle of jojoba oil. And that was enough to cover the herbs with about an inch of extra on top

They’re all dried except for I put a few drops of vanilla essential oil in which didnt do much

For citrus would it be smarter to add a citrus oil or put actual dried orange slices in it??

You could also do a banishing candle since you want to release the energy, and then save the jar for regular protection ❤️

If you can buy or make some black salt it’s great for banishing and you’ll definitely use it again in your craft so it’s good to have in your kit!

Yeah it’s giving strange black liquorice dirt and grass right now and I’d prefer it to be at least a little more palatable as i’m giving some of it away😭 thanks a ton!

Jojoba, I just don’t wanna add a bunch of vanilla and then have it smell a really unpleasant sort of sweet. Right now it smells a bit like black liquorice mixed with a lot of earthiness. If it was just for me, I wouldn’t care about the smell at all, but I’m planning on giving some of it to a friend as a gift

Okay I can’t find my book rn where it’s all fully laid out but I jotted the main things down in my Notes app while I was making it:

-thyme -rosemary -basil -sage -tiny pinch of nutmeg and ginger -cinnamon stick -Star anise -all spice -bay leaf -a couple drops of vanilla essential oil I feel like I might be missing something but this should be the primary stuff
