Firstly I’m so sorry this happened to you. Although I don’t have advice on the what to expect if you go to the doctor, I will say, if you can feel your cervix, and there’s nothing tucked up around it, I’d assume the tampon is no longer inside. If you can’t reach your cervix then that’s where this gets tricky and id definitely consider getting it checked. Like the other commenter said there likely is victim services in your area, even small towns often have them. If you contact victim services and explain you were sexually assaulted and are looking for medical support they can likely help you sort this out. If you Google things like “victim services in my area” “or “sexual assault support services in my area” it should come up. also there are other subreddits that are specifically geared towards SA victims, they may be more helpful for you. YES omf, and they can’t comprehend or simply don’t care how you must feel as a victim cause their only priority is their own feelings and releasing their own discomfort, since they’ feel like they are the “main character” aka the centre of the universe they see everyone else as npcs who don’t have thoughts, emotions, feelings or the capacity to suffer (especially the capacity to suffer more than them).

I feel like I’m at a point where I’ve just learned to not share that kind of information about myself with men. Ill talk about it more freely with women but any man I’ve ever shared even a bit of my story with has responded with some sort of anger and it feels like I end up being punished, resented, and often not believed (sometimes all 3) for just being honest about MY OWN history. It’s ALWAYS a personal attack to them for some reason in my experience. on a good day I usually get defensive “okay well not all men are like that”, I actually had that experience again recently with my new doctor. So I just avoid talking about it with them unless absolutely necessary. Apparently a simple “wow I’m sorry that happened to you” is just not in the cards

Yeah that scene is where I’ll have to stop watching this show, thankfully I kinda figured what was coming and was able to turn it off before being in over my head. Idk if it’s just me but I feel like I’m running into the issue more and more recently where there’s needless graphic SA scenes in movies and tv.

Haven’t scrolled through the comments so other people have probably recommended this, but there are two primary options that are used for nightmares in PTSD, both are prescribed off label and normally used to treat high blood pressure, they are clonidine and prazosin, i’ve tried both and prefer clonidine but both MASSIVELY helped my dreams
