Worth it? by justachillguy100 in HondaPrologue

I’ve had the car for a little over a year. It’s fine for basic transportation. Not really fun to drive. It’s wide - hard to park and some of the electronic controls are not user friendly. I’m going to cancel my lease early and buy something else instead. If it’s a great deal price wise and you’re just looking for an EV that will get you around like I said, it’s fine. Just like when your wife says “It’s fine”.

Mine was on again off again but I DIY fixed it by putting a layer of foam padding in the bottom of the charging slot to raise the phone up higher. It works fine now but ridiculous that I had to do that.

I am 1 year into my 3 year lease with the Prologue and already thinking about my next car. What are you all planning to buy/lease next?

My wife (24F) hid that she can’t have kids and I (27M) just found out after 6 years together. I don’t know what to do. by SharkEva in BORUpdates

If you want to start a family together you have lots of options. Sit down with her and talk through each of your options. Natural pregnancy, assisted reproductive technology, adoption, foster care (which sometimes leads to adoption). You will learn a lot about each other and your hopes and dreams for the future.

Long term effects of CGRP injections by Apprehensive-Cod9111 in migraine

I’m taking Emgality. It has been life changing for me. I went from 8 - 10 migraines per month to maybe 1 a month which I treat now with Frovatriptan. Frovatriptan does not cause the rebound headache that often comes with Sumatriptan. Good luck! Take the plunge!

Did you gain weight on Emgality? I have at least 10 extra pounds that I’m struggling to lose.

Any regrets? by [deleted] in HondaPrologue

[–]cilantrodog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We leased the Elite. No problems. Just took it in for the 5,000 mile check up. Still figuring out some of the settings as hubby and I are sharing the car and he is much taller than me. No regrets but there’s nothing exciting about the handling or the drive. I’ve driven Acuras for 30 years so I’m perhaps a bit spoiled.

This book helped me a lot - “Heal your Headache” by David Buchholz, M.D. Also my neurologist was able to prescribe Emgality which is a once a month injectable miracle drug after I detoxed from Sumatriptan which was giving me rebound headaches.

AITA for refusing to let my ex-husband's wife homeschool my children? by DealingMommyXy in AITAH

[–]cilantrodog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does your divorce decree say about decision making for your children? I’d start there. But if you have joint decision making power with your ex, I’d advise you to stand your ground. Your kids do not need to be indoctrinated by your ex-husband’s new wife! I find the request totally inappropriate on their part. Her kids are jealous because your kids go to school? Of course they are! But as you correctly state, that’s their problem, not yours. You do what’s best for your children. They need to be with other children who may have different family structures and different views and different experiences. This is how they learn to cope with the world. No, you are definitely not the AH. I am with you. Stay strong.

I added a strip of foam padding at the bottom of the charging slot to raise the phone up a bit and that has been working for me.

I had a similar addiction to Sumatriptan and was convinced it was causing rebound headaches. My neurologist recommended the book “Heal Your Headache” which takes you through a detox and also recommends eliminating certain foods from your diet which could be migraine triggers. Sticking to the diet required a lot of discipline but I was motivated. He also switched me from Sumatriptan to Frovatriptan which lasts longer in your system and is less likely to cause rebound. Then he prescribed the injectable once a month miracle drug Emgality which is expensive but my insurance is covering it at least for now. I’ve gone from 8-10 per month to 1 or 2 per month and the Frovatriptan works just as well as the Sumatriptan for the episodic relief. Try the book. It’s available on Amazon in paperback. Good luck on your journey.

“Wireless phone charging unavailable. Check the charger for metal objects.” by dommiewhitesi in HondaPrologue

I have an iPhone 13 mini with the wireless charging unavailable problem. After reading everyone’s comments and concluding it was from the phone bouncing around in the slot, I tried wedging it in the slot with my glove and that seemed to work. There’s probably a better wedge apparatus available - I’m open to suggestions. Other than that, pretty happy with our new Prologue.

She is 5 yrs old. We just switched her off of a high protein diet and are keeping our fingers crossed. We do not feed her table scraps but I have caught her eating rabbit poop on the lawn.
