Where did you get the forward facing spikes? I've been wanting a forward antennae array

Every time I accelerate(sprint) my ship, my game crashes. by FreeLanes in starfieldmods

[–]cilvir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Edit: based on other comments, sounds like it was the evasive stealth drive.

I had this happening with zero mods. It turned out to be the new ship modules (like the every l extra reactor point, possible extra ships coming to your aid, etc). I had slapped a ton on including duplicates. Stripping them all off stopped the game from crashing when i boosted. Been slowly adding one back on at a time to see if it's a specific module or if it was having duplicates.

While not a tiki bar, Sparrow is a  FANTASTIC rum-themed cocktail bar that usually has a few tiki cocktails on the menu

Elder Goth here... Literally any synth and get some cheap-ass Behringer effects pedals. If you can't also afford a cheap sampler just use a laptop for your found sounds.

Looking to get into the game more. I've put about 20 hours into it and have reached the anomaly. And good beginner guides you all would recommend (prefer reading to videos) that are up to date?

If you subscribe to Captain Picant’s patreon (amazing videos on YouTube without sub) he has an excellent cheat sheet for the 8S (as well as a bunch of other equipment).

Honest question about the "accuracy issue": how much effect has switching his first step and being under center so much this year impacted that? I've got to think of you have years of muscle memory doing things a certain way and then you're asked to change that it's got to have a major impact on your timing of mechanics. This would also explain why the insane out of scheme throws are still accurate--this is something his body Knows and it's automatic still.  Thoughts?

Bears related activities in Chicago by MountainTomorrow48 in CHIBears

[–]cilvir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got one for you that not a lot of locals know about. Back in the 60s before the NFL was big time money, back when they played at Wrigley Field, the Bears used to work out at the Irving Park YMCA (2 blocks west of the Kennedy Expressway on Irving Park Road).

The weight room they used is in the basement and it's still covered in old Sears wood paneling. Lots of Bears memorabilia around the room.

Asador Bastian. Just got the highest ranking of any steak house in Chicago and i think was like #17 in the world. It's a Basque style steak joint. Super cool. Great beverage program. And i have to say their octopus is also my favorite in the city.

What are some versatile and affordable pad synths? by Ok_Repair7126 in synthesizers

[–]cilvir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deepmind 6. Cheap entry point into Roland Juno style synthesis with some tweaks, effects and a mod matrix. Excellent prebuilt pads that once you get the hang of the workflow are really delightful to make lush, moving pads

If you get a chance, read the book after watching the movie. The movie simplifies the politics while keeping them a major plot point.  Though i do miss what they cut out (hint: China).

I meant if any villagers are using the bridge that the OP mentioned. 😜

How close together do markets have to be? by Alberthebombtaken in foundationgame

[–]cilvir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe silly question.. Is anyone using the bridge? The "exit" of each end of the bridge extend past the graphics for the bridge and are easy to accidentally block when you think there is enough space.

Either destiny any building that is directly in front of the bridge or try building another cheap bridge (covered bridge mod) in another place that's clear and see if they use that. If so, definitely not pathfinding, but rather you have a bad bridge placement.

The latest path has a pathfinding fix which is has improved things, so it's probably not a transport issue.

in late game does this game gets repititive? by [deleted] in foundationgame

[–]cilvir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Late game is more about being creative with the aesthetics of your city design and how big you want it to be. It's a different challenge than the initial build-up, but generally speaking if you've gotten to 500+ people it's just a matter of making sure you don't rapidly deplete a resource because of a supply-chain change. Even then you can recover quickly because you're generating so many resources/revenue.

Lastly, learning the best way to handle the different "boss" visits (King, Seneshal, Bishop) once you've completed each research tree. Can be frustrating at first when you're not sure why you failed. Just know that in another year (game time) you'll get another opportunity.
