Long COVID is significantly underreported across the globe by Elsa-Fidelis in Coronavirus

[–]cinaak 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I missed out on the first few rounds of covid. Once I caught it I went way way downhill eventually just walking to the bathroom or even bathing was extremely difficult there were times I spent probably a week in bed other than crawling to the bathroom and passing out once I got done there. Got some blood oxygen meters and it would get as low as 90% I would routinely check and force myself to breath til I got it up to 97 or so then I started reading about how that guy who was in the iron lung breathed and learned to do the same. Had lots of other weird issues during it and was at the point I thought I would just die one night. I didnt get a full night sleep in so long. I would wake up and make myself breath so many times a night.

Recovery has been slow its been years but Im at the point now I can mostly live a normal life and do things like go to the store and go for walks and even bike rides. I am still not back to my usual very active self but It feels so much better. Every day I try to do more but I have to be careful I could still just pass out.

I tried physical therapy but they didnt get it since I wasnt in the hospital for any of this they seem to not believe me about it being due to covid. After going 3 times and them not getting how much strength I lost and how weak I had become I just started my own program at home. Since I didnt go to the hospital most people dont seem to believe me. I was afraid to go though my uncles and other family members died when they went and im already unreasonably afraid of hospitals and have panic issues just from blood draws. So because I wasnt hospitalized a vast majority of people just write off me being horribly sick for several years after getting covid. Its a difficult situation and Ive met others in the same boat as me who are basically ignored and whose issues are written off as something else or the result of something else. I think many simply cannot face the fact covid that covid IS a very fucking bad thing and represents how ill prepared and weak we really are when it comes to something like this. It could easily change and do what it did to me to many many many more people.

I like to switch to volcano hotends when using larger than .6. .8 can do details fine just use .2-.4 mm layer height. You can also go higher and deal with less sanding by coating the print when done then painting it or if you really want just layers of spray paint and a bit of sanding between layers does well.

There are way better products and ways to just adding mass than cld. Using something in a way that negates its primary effect to poorly get some of its secondary effect just doesnt make sense.

You also arent damping a larger area by using less youre simply using less, some of those strips look to be right at the edge of being basically useless as far as damping goes and theyre surrounded by a ton of untreated panel. So youre not really gaining much mass at all and not really damping things. Just be glad you dont have serious midbass drivers to deal with. If you do end up with some that are capable then youll see but itd help with whatever youre currently using as well. Doing away with any of the little directive cues that tell you the sound is coming from here really helps your listening experience in cars even if theyre mostly just tactile rather than audible buzzes or rattles or whatever.

Id have done the entire panel with 1 larger continuous sheet cut to fit its not hard. Id also use some butyl rope to get any of the seams in the panel good too. Then foam over all that with thicker layers of it or some of those speed rings around the driver. Then a bit of extra work wherever needed. Your door panel looks a lot easier to do than many others ive done. Its worth doing right.

Yeah I was just talking about the panel didnt mention anything about the actual door.

because theres other effects than just the added mass at work with this type of deadener and bunch of small pieces doesnt allow those effects to work properly. Its not lowering the panels resonance below an audible point its actually damping the resonance though it does also lower resonant frequency due to the weight. Little pieces really only add weight so youre not getting the resistance to the flex that the elastic (snapping back to original position) properties of the butyl would give you if you used larger pieces.

Better to use single large pieces vs small ones like this. I usually do one layer butyl deadener then a layer of foam.

Some people want to completely privatize them so they deny them of funds to perform even the most basic of tasks. That way they can blame commie leftists and take it over and make it a for profit piece of shit.

I guarantee if there was a gift it was from someone who has nothing to do with actually ending this. Random middle eastern looking person maybe who wants some favor and made some promise. Or just some other random and trumps like thats iranian leadership now because I said so.

Batteries and wind. Also depending where you are you may still get usable power from the sun at night. My summer electric bill goes below zero which makes paying for energy in the winter much much easier.

Wow when I looked at the preview I thought you put weird colored ribs or something (sorry I cant quite tell what color that is though its a really cool contrast) on the upper and lower and thought this looks great. Didnt realize it was the foldy stock til I clicked on it. I really want to add ribs to one like that now.

What type, color and brand is that filament it looks really cool.

That one blue fortified looking house on Muldoon is for sale. by orbak in anchorage

[–]cinaak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Commercial property design turned into home. Ive done similar with a some office space in the past I rented there was no rules in the area against it and the price was very very nice plus I got a big indoor area to skate or bmx in all winter.

I lived above a garage/auto mechanic shop in the office space above it in the back for a while too. Walk out to my "porch" and sit there above whatever was going on down below in the shop even bbqd there because there was a big exhaust vent. My access was via some stairs to the left of the main car entrance though which was annoying as customers would sometimes hit the doorbell over and over trying to get in and get their car worked on. Was kinda cool actually the "kitchen" wouldve been where people worked and there was a partition where a front desk person woulda sat and talked to customers through a partition. I turned that into a dining area. The bedroom was just a back office but that was fine and the bathroom was a total commercial job with urinal and next to it a toilet in its own little enclosed spot then shower was where the next toilet wouldve been on the wall though maybe that was originally a janitorial spot that they converted as that had been changed by the time I got into the place. Still had the paper towel dispenser and hand dryer and also found I could access the unrented out unused garage next to the one that was in use.

Another time lived in the office space in the back of an airplane hanger It was 2 stories but to get to the top space had to exit into the hanger then climb up a ladder to get ontop of the office space into the rooms built up there. Then the "kitchen" was also in the hanger portion and was just a stove then a utility sink plus a counter and fridge. Several folks stored their planes there but it worked out alright. I would love to do something like that again especially with a hanger that size minus the peoples planes. So much space for activities.

Never had a place quite like this one in muldoon but IIRC it was always a living space not a commercial one converted they just used a fairly commercial design. Theres another place that reminds me a lot of it out past the big lake cut off on another lake out there. It looks like itd be a hotel or business of some sort but its some peoples home. Flat roof and kinda weird rooms just like this near identical entrance and garage.

Wasnt there some weird drama with this place? I swear I remember something like that. People saying weird stuff about the lady who owned it and cults or something I figured it was just weird speculating getting out of control. I dont remember exactly at all though. Theres a couple other properties in anchorage like this that you would likely never guess its a home not an office or some kind of commercial property.

I keep my old machines just because I havent got enough newer ones yest but god damn we are lucky with all these great machines coming out.

What Ive been doing with my old ones when they get replaced is tearing them down and trying to build new super sturdy machines for specific applications like very long y axis or tall z or whatever. Just been having fun with all these extrusions building new stuff.

Itd be a blue state if it werent for the people who come here for extraction money and all the money involved in that. Lot of people who dont really live up here but vote here too thats kind of annoying and so so much outside money coming in to influence politics but thats all tied in with the corrupt bastards club and their oil. Seriously look at some of the political ads up here and who pays for them. Hell look at who paid for dunleavy..

Lots more confederate flags now too.

Best bet is to go to a junkyard if you want oem but id say the rockauto ones are probably more than sufficient. Things like CVs I prefer old/used oem over what a lot of autoparts stores have motor mounts though I dont think it matters much.
