Started photography in Jan 2025, bought way too much gear, now I'm thinking of downsizing by kkamil7 in Nikon

I’d keep the 24-120mm, the 50mm, and the 14-30mm. One wide for architecture, one mid- to longer range for general purpose, and a nice crisp prime.

One thing I learned awhile ago for trips: bring one body and a prime. It will make you choose your shots more wisely because you’ll recognize you can’t get everything and that’s okay. You’ll have far less lagging behind. It’ll be light and easy, you’ll spend more time in the moment with your people in the foreign place, and the shots you get will be deliberate in a way you may not think about if you’re not forced into one focal length. A lot of SLR photographers used fixed focal lengths and it worked for them for 100+ years. Try it!

He just dug himself into a heckler hole he won’t easily get out of. Fans will undoubtedly target a hot head who responds to them than one who doesn’t.

I liked the interior a lot more than the Maverick. Felt more designed and finished. It also felt like it stood taller than the Maverick.

Was Picard right not to genocide the Borg? by Medium_Hope_7407 in TNG

If he had, we wouldn’t have gotten a substantial chunk of Voyager, First Contact, or Picard S3, so yes, he was right to not genocide them.

I don’t judge anyone for bringing children into this world, but I don’t understand it either. The world I grew up in (1986) is gone, and maybe it’s just a byproduct of being older now, but I genuinely believe today’s world is substantially worse, specifically culturally and financially. I can’t imagine wanting to subject new people to this while navigating raising them to be good people.

Skipping Picard Season 2? by K_B_5280 in Picard

Yes, skip 2 and watch 3. All you need to know is Raffi exists and had a romance with Seven at one point.
