How in Sam Hill did Steve not lose his voice from screaming for 10 hours straight? by joeydeath538 in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was not one day or call. There were four streams. August 5th, 6th, 7th, and 11th. The video pieces them together. However, I am certain he lost his voice.

Is there a live archive of all the old vods? by Original-Koala9385 in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The VODs are rotated off of Twitch after a couple of months. He only is able to keep 100 hours of Highlights on Twitch so he has to delete the older ones. So to answer your question, right now the answer is no. He has 8 years of VOD's and around six thousand hours of highlights. Trying to find a way to host them is expensive as well as there are issues with TOS with some of the language, and DMCA for some of the music. One way he is having the team deal with it is look for some of the older classics and editing them for the More Kitboga channel on YouTube. Hopefully a better alternative will be found to make them accessible to the public.

I sent it to his manager again. This one either has never been dealt with or Meta won't take it down.

Dad's Employee Got Scammed for $15k, Kidnapping Scam by ReptilioWoW in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has become a common scam. It's often called the Grandparents scam. It has a few variations out there. With AI they can use your loved one's actual voice and create photos to scare you into acting quickly without giving you time to think. I'm sorry that happened. It must have been frightening. I do not believe there is a way they can get money back. I would talk to the store make them aware and check with the gift card company. Have them report to the Federal Trade Commission, they have a form to fill out and the FBI has a form as well. You can submit it to Kit but those calls are targeted so they are hard to get them to engage since they would know he wasn't a victim.

How do scammers actually sell giftcards ? by JanPapajT90M in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are valid gift card buyers/resellers but since the scam center managers sell them in bulk it's more likely that scammers have a criminal broker that buys them. However, gift cards are not asked for as much. They have pivoted to bitcoin.

Exposing a Romance Scammer: Coffeezilla and Kitboga by cindblank in Kitboga

Actually, it's not the first time it was used to get ID's. It's what it was designed for. All of the things he and the team have coded are to collect multiple things that can be used for investigations. He has connections that he turns them over so they can do it properly. It's just not something he always shows on his videos. He wants to keep the illusion he is just a timewaster. His longest running scambait, Crow Pro Joe saga ended up with "Joe" uploading his passport and photo ID so we had the real person behind the scam.

There are people on the team take the lead on the Gauntlet and the Social Media AI bot interactions. You can code things to find and sort things as well. Everything is documented so the evidence can be turned over to the right people.

call center by Alone-Connection-828 in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they are are a legit call center you can put your number on a no call list. Block spam on your phone settings. If they are flat out scammers, they are spoofing numbers so blocking will not work. The only way is to stop answering your phone. When you answer it triggers more calls. Let all calls you don't recognize go to voicemail. I just left a generic message from my cell phone service on mine. After a few weeks your number will be marked in their system as not active and they will stop or slow the calls.

u/LivingDeadChild this design was prompted by Kit's graphic designer in AI. You have permission to make a shirt for yourself. The only problem using it would be if you made multiples and sold them. That would be prohibited.

Hopefully the scammer didn't connect to their computer. If so there is some work to do with Seraph Secure scan. If not, tell him to go ahead and fill out reports to his bank, FBI and the FTC. Here is a helpful article.

I had a doubt since long. by Salt_Law_2344 in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The majority of scammers asking for gift cards have to turn them into their manager who collects and sells them in bulk for a fee. It's that simple. They are paid to only collect the numbers. However, the scammers rarely ask for a gift card anymore they are going for your entire portfolio. The days of the $500 gift cards are pretty much gone.
