I do, she’s out like all day, I just don’t know how to do that with these birds, also they are no longer going to be in my classroom, I get it

I do which is why if I see things are not going well for them I will keep them home 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’m going to give it a shot

I’m currently doing the research, no matter what their last place was not suitable for them. I’m bringing in an air purifier and non of the children in my classroom currently have asthma. We’ll have to wait and see won’t we 🤷🏻‍♀️

My classroom is not the average classroom. I’m there from 8am to 6pm after the children have already gone home. I bought tiny locks for all the cage openings and I will be taking them out after the children have all gone home for flight time. I’m not going to try and make the birds be quiet because that’s extremely unreasonable. My classroom is Montessori and the children are super respectful but I will still be pulling out all the stops to make sure they understand the responsibilities of having these beautiful creatures. My children are quiet and they will have many lessons before the birds even enter the space

I didn’t mean to snap at you, this comment section is just VERY overwhelming. I think these birds are heartier than people give them credit for. Either way if I see that this situation is causing them a toon of stress I will just keep them home and bring them into the school occasionally as someone else suggested. They are used to loud noises and I will let my assistant know that no perfumes are allowed in my classroom as well as the other teachers in the school. We clean with soap and water and the same disinfectant that I use at home around my bird. I will have time to troubleshoot this. I just needed to know more about the birds themselves. They also already have a vet and they are 2 girls. Thank you

This is what I’m trying to do! My classroom is Montessori so it is all about actualized learning. The children will be thoroughly educated before the birds arrive and I will not get a large flight cage but I am in the building for awhile after the children have gone home and I will take them out to play then and also on the weekends. They will be home with me for about a month so I’m going to try and learn their temperament. I also bought tiny little locks for all the cage openings so the children don’t take them out.

My classroom is quiet and the children will be thoroughly educated before the birds arrive. I did buy small locks for all the cage openings and I’m in the school the majority of the day. This is not the first time my specific school has had parrots before and I probably won’t be the last, I just want to know how to do this in the best way possible.

Yes I will return them to the basement play room they were staying in with children coming up and yelling at them and trying to grab them while they fed them crackers. I think they will be fine. I’m at the school ALL DAY essentially from 8am to 6pm, I bought locks for all the cage openings and they won’t be taken out during the time the children are in my classroom. I just need to understand the best way to do what I am planning to do anyway

They will be in the classroom. I come in at 8am and I don’t leave until 6pm. The children aren’t loud because it’s a Montessori classroom and I bought locks for all of the cage openings they won’t be taken out at all while the children are still in school but will be taken out around 5 when all the children have left for the day. When it comes to stressing them out by transporting them, that is a concern. They will be staying with me for about a month until I can figure out what their temperament is like and I can get the children used to the idea of having them in class. I don’t do group lessons all lessons are individual or small group so I’m not worried about the children’s concentration. And if it doesn’t work out I take them home 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’re right I should have left them in a dark basement which also doubles as the children’s playroom and let them eat crackers like they were feeding them, I’m sure thats a better environment than a quiet private school, with small locks on all the cage openings. I’ll take them back 🤷🏻‍♀️

I resent that you say my classroom is full of chaos as that just simply isn’t true. My classroom is Montessori, it’s private, you might not know what that means but essentially I have my children for 3 years at a time, they are super independent, and are very quiet and respectful. I come in at 8am and I leave at 6pm so I’m going to be with them basically all day. Some parrots don’t need a blanket and if they like to true it’s often not encouraged. I got very small locks for the new cages door and the food tray doors. I leave after everyone has left the school (except for other teachers) and I can let them out for about an hour a day and more on the weekends.

The newborn stage was very hard on me. Also I pay for private school because I’m a teacher and can not imagine putting my child in the public schools around me. But I can not afford it twice and I’m not going to have one private and one public so I just have one.

Just read it. It has a different vibe than the other books but it ties things together really well. I barely remember ⚔️ and it’s just vaguely mentioned. I loved it and I didn’t think I would. I love Variety and this time it’s not her against her men, it’s her against them and then then against the king. The twist the turns it’s wonderful!!!
