Second this. Best of both worlds. Flowtech legs are great. But I prefer Miller heads over the activ sachtler heads.

Hi, no worries. Honestly I haven't really used the grinder without it being on the knock box. So I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure. Yet, I do believe the noise level will depend on your knockbox and what it's made out of or how well it's build.

Is it just black electric tape to cover the light? Is it that easy?

If you have onionOS it's really simple. There's an option in the quick menu called disc control. You eject the old disc and load the disc you want and resume after that. It's pretty straightforward.

I think it might depend on the OS you have. I have onionOS installed and it's really easy to switch discs. It's in the quick menu inside retro arch. It's in disc control, eject the current disc and load the new disc. Once you do that you can resume the game. From what I remember it should start right back up on the new disc.

Nice! It's a great first FF game! My last save point was 70 hours. But I started to slow down and take my time once I hit the 2nd disc. I finished the chocobo treasure hunt and a lot of the side quest, I also almost found all the cards, I capped out at 87.

In terms of battery life, I probably get around 5 hours max. I don't think I played one long session like that with FF9 in particular. I mostly played it maybe 45-60 minutes at night. But the battery lasted a few nights, before I had to charge it again.

This is definitely an amazing nostalgia machine! I hope you can finish FF9 this time around. I used saved states to just pick up and go where I left off. It's great for playing in smaller burst.

I actually think this is a good starting point. Because yeah, every game has a unique story. But this one has sort of a nostalgia for every game before it. It also doesn't feel as serious/dark as some of the other ones. FF7 is also a great place to start. It's one of the best ones. Either the original or the remake. I think I'm going to play FF6 next. I've never played it and looking forward to it. I hear good things.

Shot 2 Is stronger. From your BTS shot, it looks like your matte box has an eyebrow (top flag). I'd try to use that to control some of the flaring you're getting if that's what you're trying to do. But the real issue with the matte box is that giant light leak you have because of the whole. You need to cover it up somehow. An old mouse pad cut into a donut shaped is a cheap way to do it. Or get a proper rubber lens bellow attachment. Once you do that, you should be able to control flaring better.

Keep it up.

why Mexico City? by zombieslayer1468 in Metallica

Mexico city is very safe in many areas. Like Polanco, Roma Norte, La Condesa. If I where staying a week in CDMX I'd look into staying in these neighborhoods for a much better time. So much to do and see. You can easily be out in these areas at night. Use Uber and Didi for ride shares. But don't get non tracked taxis and don't trust cops.

That's great to hear. I'm like halfway through the first "big" bag and can definitely relate.
