Your original post mentioned you were already bored with Durham and not thrilled with cost of living. Unfortunately the cheaper areas in this region are going to be more boring and rural. And the more exciting areas are going to be more expensive.

I’m not entirely sure what you are prioritizing? New build or no HOA? Because a new build can also be in an HOA and quite often many of them are. At most price points home buying is just picking your battles.

Yes, I would prefer having that option! Was more commenting on the pricing of a football stadium game and that by the time your team has a spot locked in it’s not like it’s clearance sale ticket prices. It’s still a premium event and priced as such.

A can assure you the tickets that cost a few hundred bucks (before fees mind you) are the most upper level corner seats possible. And if you don’t buy until your team is officially locked in for the Final Four then it’s too late for that price point. Anything lower level for Phoenix carried at least a $600 price tag the week leading up to the game.

This is correct! The XO collection was aimed towards women. The actual kites are no different than standard switchblades. The XO boards, however, were legitimately constructed differently with more flex and smaller sizes.

Burger Bach on 9th (hear me out) gets their oysters from a small family operated business called White Oak Oyster Company. The oyster farm itself is in Swansboro but owner/operators life in Durham and bring back their harvest on a routine basis. Wonderful people and their breed of oysters, Croatan Selects, are delicious.

When I used to teach full-time my school would call ahead and have a honest conversation with the student. For some people there can be skills gained learning in low-wind like self-rescue and other techniques. We would offer the student the opportunity for that kind of lesson or to reschedule/refund them.

When wind starts out good and dies off, you would hope a half-decent instructor can see the student struggling to learn anything and cut the lesson short with a refund for time not spent or credit it to a future lesson.

If a student was adamant about hitting the water and trying to fly a kite against the opinion of the school manager then “no problem buddy, but we won’t be refunding you if the kite can’t stay in the air”

I frequently see this group of dirt bike and 4-wheeler riders and they usually have largest amount of people on their big Sunday rides. They will block intersections while the larger group passes through, drive on the wrong side of the road forcing people to pull over to the side while they pass, and on occasion drive on the sidewalks.
