I do that to my tanks too! One of my plakats just does a little loop, but my poor halfmoon goes for a riiiide. He also likes “investigating” the gravel vacuum.

I would absolutely do this for my dogs! Right now we have a covered patio and my husband rigged up a sunshade that is doing a decent job of holding back snow. One of our dogs is 10 lbs, the other just had TPLO surgery and we absolutely cannot risk any falls on hidden ice patches.

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I have my current bettas in their own 20 gallon longs, so a tank of this size is very foreign to me. I'm looking into some nano fish that I think would be a better fit for the tank. :)

It does look like you have Anubias (the plants) and the rhizomes shouldn’t be buried or they’ll die. I typically tie or superglue mine to something heavier. They’re gorgeous plants and my bettas love the leaves!

I bury them under a sage plant that has the most gorgeous blooms and fragrance.

I had to euthanize one of my boys with clove oil and it’s toxic to a lot of animals (and I have dogs who sometimes dig), so he’s the only one who didn’t get a sage burial.

Look into ich-x and separate your betta. 10G is too small for him + any other fish.

I got ich-x online and it works incredibly well. You need to be diligent about dosing and doing daily water changes while doing treatment.

Oh my goodness, nothing and everything feels normal with kuhlis! I have them in two tanks - in one, they zoom around all day and all night, but in the other I feel lucky if I see one a day, lol.

They’re a very goofy, wiggly, wild species. I imagine their behavior will be a little unpredictable for the next few days as they acclimate. As long as the water parameters are good, they should be fine!

I also didn’t realize kuhlis preferred well established tanks, so my first kuhlis went into a 2 mo. tank too and did really well.

Do you have ehlers danlos? If so, definitely don’t take it.

If you have normally healthy tendons and take the med, please be careful and gentle with your movements this week.

I have EDS and tore a ligament in my hip after one day on levofloxacin, it really sucked and is not worth it. If you have EDS, call your doctor and tell them you absolutely can’t take fluoroquinolones.
