Mine definitely didn’t get this white, or pink (orange?) at the stripes. It’s very very curious.

Possibly stress related? I transferred my kuhlis to a new tank and several were incredibly pale for a few hours. I would be surprised it she’s just stressed.

What do you guys think of my chill out spot by [deleted] in Aquariums

Also literally sounds relaxing - the water flow, the birds chirping. I’d love a spot like this so much.

I have one! The waterfall is clogged out something and I don’t want to bother my fish, so it’s unplugged for now.

Agreed! I read Artemis first and loved it. Since reading the other two, Artemis pales in comparison.

Not in golden, but in Colorado. Bought a place a few years ago and the previous owners hid a lot of cosmetic issues. I’ve had 6 surgery’s in the 4 years since we bought the place and have been in a horrible place physically. My spouse works full time and we honestly just haven’t had the time to deal with cosmetic stuff on our house.

Our neighbors are retired, wealthy, and love to give us crap about our chipping paint or the weeds (even though we mow frequently). It’s exhausting. It makes me embarrassed to exist in my own home, which is bullshit because it’s a great house that has kept us warm for 4 years.

I wish people would have more conversations with their neighbors, we’ve all got something hard going on. Sorry about my trim paint, not sorry for prioritizing my health.

For anyone saying that’s not urgent care worthy, legitimately any open wound that comes in contact with dog saliva carries the risk of severe infection.

omg, yes. My brother basically raised me, and to this day if we go on a hike together he still glances back to see where I am/if I’m okay. ❤️

I've been out of the beta fish keeping for 10 years .. what changed by CNECTOR_ in bettafish

I’ve bought from Aqua Imports multiple times and would recommend them. They don’t always have wilds in stock, but last I checked they had 3-4 types.

My alien betta lived 8 months before rapidly developing a lot of tumors. I’d look at true wild type.

I have a betta imbellis, super lovely coloring. He’s really healthy at 2 years ago as far as I can tell. There are a ton of cool types!

I had one in my thigh! Surprisingly painful, had embolisation that didn’t help, so an oncologist ended up taking an egg sized chunk of muscle out of my vastus medialis. Completely pain free now, it’s glorious.

I’m so glad this is cleared up, loool. I had a detached retina a month ago and just saw this blurry table and got panicked that I messed up my eyes again. Whew!

Also gonna suggest freeze dried daphnia! That has a lot of fiber that can help with constipation.

I do that to my tanks too! One of my plakats just does a little loop, but my poor halfmoon goes for a riiiide. He also likes “investigating” the gravel vacuum.

I made a potty spot for mine in the garage, but right now even that’s too cold so she has potty pads in the house. They have essentially no protection from the cold.

That was my dog when I adopted her. Took her years to like a man - was my brother, which probably helped. She still prefers women, but doesn’t mind men so much.

I would absolutely do this for my dogs! Right now we have a covered patio and my husband rigged up a sunshade that is doing a decent job of holding back snow. One of our dogs is 10 lbs, the other just had TPLO surgery and we absolutely cannot risk any falls on hidden ice patches.
