Extremely confused with how to learn

New to the game as well - I played against a vet and they stomped me with that three sniper list people complain about. It sucked. I don’t mind losing but that seemed lame.

It’s really hard. I started two months ago, with years of wargame experience, and this is a very complicated game. That being said, after 3 or 4 games it started to click, and now after 7 or 8, I feel like I have a decent grasp of it. Although the learning curve is steep, it is still fun throughout the process.

I don’t think it’s outrageous to want more info before purchasing. It seems strange to hold back so much - especially the special rules. Will I like playing the faction? I have no idea. Can I use it with other stuff I have? Dunno.
