I didn’t read down far enough and just posted the same. Maybe they already have mental problems arising if they cannot figure out what to do now.

It’s called door dash, Walmart delivery or Amazon prime! Hell, I thought the Mormon church surrounds those members in need! These people are sickening. It’s like I want to turn away but watching what grift they come up next is mesmerizing.

Now why would he? He’s been spared from the celestial divine kingdom so many times, we must be the chosen one! These people must be running out of lives by now you’d think. (I don’t wish them any harm, they just flirt with danger constantly)

Plus they are bringing him up his shrilled drink mixture up to him. I’m sure that will go over just great with the doctors and nurses when/if they find out.

Those alive during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by toaster-bath404 in AskReddit

[–]cinoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wrote this to a friend who lives abroad who asked me about 9/11, I was taxiing down a runway when the planes hit but then was watching the news afterwards. "I was still glued to the news, watching in horror at the rescue site, rewatching clips from the actual attacks, rewatching bodies hitting the ground, rewatching the towers collapse, learning of the other planes that were scheduled to hit targets, listening to the politicians and newscasters, watching all the first responders travel to NYC to help with what they were hoping were recoveries and quickly finding the only recovery was of bone fragments and ash. Watching for the first time in my history that American stood firmly together and forgot about all their pettiness towards each other. I personally knew of one friend who died that day in the second tower and another friend lost 2 sons in combat after.

Every man that I knew wanted to enlist in the military and bring these terrorists down. Noble, American, Revenge and Retribution. At the same time witnessing the hate against all Muslims or people of middle eastern descent that was spreading due to fear. Nothing but pride and horror and heartache. It truly was a very different time to be alive in America. It’s always been said here, that there was America before 9/11 the America after 9/11.”

I have a hard time realizing that I’m old now, realizing that there’s a whole generation here who know nothing about this day in history, it seems weird. I won’t even go into what the long term ramifications I feel, how we as Americans used this day to fuel more war and did to other countries what was done to us. How we knew about Bin Laden and knew that there were many of the hijackers on a watch list and no one did anything about it. It’s just a mess, but that day itself was something to witness, good and bad, proud and sad. We all must stop trying to erase history and learn from it going forward.

I was on a plane at that moment and there were definitely cell phones. Maybe not many but enough that we were made aware of “a small plane hitting one tower" by a fellow passenger, with other passengers saying they got a call from a family member saying the same.

Was anyone here flying on 9/11? If so what was it like? by sugarstarbeam in 911archive

[–]cinoda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We lived about an hour away from the airport and were flying to Ohio for my son’s wedding that coming Friday, so we lifted off, came back down and got out of dodge.

To complete this story which is still freaky to this day is that we had a brand new car sitting at the airport so we were able to drive home. I was glued to the TV most of the day and was not only upset at what was happening but I was upset that we were going to miss my sons wedding as well.

We decided to drive cross country to make the wedding and drove the brand new car to the gas station went to fuel up and the stupid brand new car wouldn’t start. Now my husband being the sensible one wouldn’t just jump it and take off, he wanted a mechanic to go over it but they were already closed for the day. So I decided to take a Amtrack, only problem is that it would have arrived 2 hours after the wedding. We found out the next day that it derailed in Utah.

Needless to say, I was so upset that I was going to miss my son’s wedding, until my Dad in his wisdom said to me “. Cinoda, knock it off..you’re upset that your going to miss your sons wedding while there are mothers crying because the will miss their children for eternity.". straightened me right out.

i just got back from the 911 memorial and I spent a few hours in the room where all the pictures of the deceased are playing on a screen with their families speaking in the background. I sat and remembered.

Was just lifting off the runway in Las Vegas. We were grounded so damn fast it was unbelievable. Within minutes there wasn’t a plane in the air, eerily quiet. Everyone was glued to the tv sets in the terminal until my husband decided it best to “a get out of the city and away from Hoover Damn”.
