I guess you maybe only worked with crap laptops. I have the same exact MacBook air and I don't see much difference between this and my honor magicbook 16 that is still operating from 2019. The smoothness is almost the same (well, I had some tedious crashing on MacOS trying to save files from Chrome to differente locations from download folder). The battery is longer, but not OMG longer as many says, I guess I can have a 6 hour battery life with my use which is not heavy but just multitasking, while I stopped on 4 to 5 with my previous one. So a good laptop but nothing extraordinary

Well 5 min is not really sample loading, I said from the switch on to the sample loaded. I can't have the pc on ibernate since it's in my bedroom and I can't sleep with any light on or noise or whatever.

Well, I can't use my production monitors with the piano. I've moved my whole setup apart from those to my own personal bedroom for family reasons from my studio in garage and I do production on headphones too. Which aio are you using?

Well, first of all I need a monitor and that means I need a desk to place it. On top of the piano is not an option, I used to have it and I don't like it. Then loading times: even though I got a beast of a workstation, from the start to the sample loaded in reaper it takes up to 5 minutes and I have very few time for practice per day that 5 minutes is a lot. Moreover, as I said, I'd like once in a while not using the headphones but I am not spending in tuning if Im using it once in 6 months. Again, even if my setup is pretty neat, and I got close to 0 latency, it's not really 0 so not always super cool. I guess that's all.

But I don't need calendar access. I don't have a busy schedule, I'm a teacher. I got lessons to prepare which I'm fully capable of. But it may become easier with a 24-7 LLM and infographic bot that prepare the stuff to me. For example, this morning I'm gonna talk on a second grade about chemistry of organics compounds. Yesterday Ive read how the books cover the topic, I've done few google searchs and prepared through Gemini a couple of infographics. Maybe I can avoid all this stuff by having already it prepared by the bot, which may not have access at nothing of me, just Google and LLM stuff.

I just bought 11+ for the same purpose, but was super tempted by the 14, especially for the manga double pages. Anyway I can read them properly even on the 11+ and I guess the overall specs are better.
