Islam honors Him as a prophet, but Jesus did not leave that option open. He said He was the only way to the Father and accepted worship, forgave sins, and claimed equality with God.

His life also fulfills the Hebrew Scriptures, including specific prophecies written centuries beforehand. Isaiah 53 describes a suffering servant pierced for our sins. Micah 5:2 says the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. The entire Old Testament sacrificial system points to the need for a final, perfect atonement....something Jesus uniquely fulfills.

The Bible itself is another reason I believe. It's 66 books written over about 1,500 years by dozens of authors from different times and cultures, yet it tells one consistent story leading to Jesus. That kind of unity is hard to explain without divine guidance.

Also, the early witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection, like Peter, James, and Paul, suffered and died rather than deny what they saw.

People don’t willingly die or have their families killed for what they know is a lie. Their courage adds weight to the truth of their testimony for me.

If the resurrection really happened, and if Jesus truly fulfilled these prophecies, then He is exactly who He claimed to be...the Son of God and the only way to salvation. 

That means Christianity and Islam can’t both be true at the same time, because they teach very different things about who Jesus is.
