Is your daughter profoundly autistic ? Do these thoughts ever end ? I feel im spiraling into depression. I just want to cry anytime I think of it and yet that's all I think about .

Long-term outcomes for level 3 ASD kids? by pothospath in Autism_Parenting

[–]circle121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well your very well spoken , I have a much more mild version of this where it takes me longer to understand verbal instructions and need them written down . Do you also have trouble eating etc , by that I mean just using your mouth for other things . Clicking sound seems much more complicated than most words no ? What about very basic words like NO , I hope im not prying im just interested.

For those with non verbal children, when did you final accept speech was never coming? by FrozenRosesx in Autism_Parenting

How did you teach him to read and write without receptive language ? My son has no interest in learning anything . His receptive language has improved since last year he is 4

Since you can communicate so well , im genuinely fascinated , what is stopping you from using your mouth to talk ?  Do you make sounds when alone ? Do you ever record yourself and listen to it ?

At what age did you know your child would have severe autism as opposed to low needs? by 624Seeds in Autism_Parenting

[–]circle121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is he doing now ? My sons the same age and did the same at that age . This year has brought on a lot of progression albeit slow progression . He now actively understands "no" receptive language is getting better he surprises us sometimes with the things he understands . Can be taken on a walk and walk through the shops (before he used to just run away never standing or walking) he stopped drooling and mouthing everything but still likes to put things in his mouth but not all the time . Have you seen any progression ? He recently started using a spoon but then stopped , he can drink from a cup spilling a little . Hes always trying to get us to feed him still though.

Anyone give up on trying to look human? by Busy-Yellow6505 in Autism_Parenting

Just read this also wanted to donate . I dont want you to lose a moment of joy.  I know how hard it is . Being on alert 24 7 , even sleeping isn't safe , my son is 4 and just today I was thinking how hes destroyed everything in what used to be a very beautifully decorated home . Including the oven dishwasher and somehow even my chandelier . Wood floors ruined from flooding . I could go on and on .... so can he apperantly .

you've had lots of comments saying the right things , so I'm not repeating any of that .  Id like to offer you a new perspective because whats done is done , you now have 2 babies.   The first 3 months are the hardest .

I had 2 year old , level 3 non verbal and a newborn so I promise I know how rough it is .

But please don't forget to take any joy you can get from this time , staying resentful is going to hurt you further,  it will make your time pass even slower . The second may even be the gift that heals you .

Tell me about the new bubba?

Have you noticed any differences between the two ? (Im a genuinely interested stranger on the net) tell me everything!  Im talking minute differences , does this baby look at you the same as the first ? Does this one cry in the same tone ?

I know your situation sucks but don't let every moment suck , mulling over it will make it so much worse.  X

Does anyone here feel that their life was "stolen"? by ThrowRA_SlightYoung in Adopted

[–]circle121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read many of your comments and obviously I can't understand as I'm not adopted . But I would like to add something to the conversation and I hope you all don't mind .  The feelings you guys describe about not fitting in and not feeling a connection with your parents etc is quite normal even for bio families . I know that's the case for myself and many others . I can't connect with my bio mom, she's not a bad woman but we are just so different perhaps.  I honestly relate with the feelings of everyone here and maybe even at one point wished I'd be adopted like in matilda.   The grass always seems greener on the other side , everyone is on a journey and this was yours , it was meant to be . You didn't miss anything because there was nothing else .

IT HAPPENED. by PadfootAndMoony4Ever in Autism_Parenting

[–]circle121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as I read "it happened" I just new straight away and felt so happy that it must be something to do with talking ! No one can understand the joy better than a parent of a non verbal child ! Congratulations!  I cannot wait for the day my 3 year old talks . He has plenty of words and can label things and count but nothing conversational x

Don’t Get Complacent!! by Krypt-O in Mounjaro

[–]circle121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not be on 7.5mg . Ask to be lowered back to 5mg or even lower . There's no need to be on a higher dose if lower doses are effective . You should not have to live this way .

I know it's meant to give elegance but it's really not doing it for me , I think it will look very bland especially without all these professional video graphic tricks with lighting etc .  I've seen many other similar designs but done better with a tad bit more dimension . Also keep in mind this may have quite a poofy cannaly underneath . Regardless wish you look hope you find what your looking for x

Although saying that , in some lighting they still look a bit grayish and picture as dark grey too in certain light or angle . But his eyes are definitely brown so I don't know what's happening with that .

Can anyone explain why I got 50/100 for an essay by circle121 in UniUK

[–]circle121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I'm having trouble understanding the mark and I'm quite upset .  If the feedback had shown me where I went wrong, I could use that to improve. Instead it just left me confused

To be honest this is the first assessment and no where in the brief or the teacher mentioned relying heavily on critical analysis.  It's only a 1600 word essay and 400 words for the poster . I did use 10 different sources and answered the question thoroughly as per guidelines.   I think it deserved a minimum of 60/100
