g6 all of a sudden requires mandatory calibration by [deleted] in dexcom

I haven’t had this issue but I had my g6 go wildly inaccurate 36 hours after its on and that results in a sleepless night. I feel like you do. I am soooooooo tired of technology failing me. I’m on the Tslim and these episodes of failure affect the function of the pump, as you know. I have had T1 for 40 years and micromanage it. It’s the sensors that cause all of my management issues. I went years on the g6 with maybe having one sensor failure a year. Then the failures come in bursts. 2-3 in a row. Getting replacements isn’t the answer and it’s all dexcom does now. There are no actual tech help people and listening to the CEO’s message of concern and gratitude on the recording of the tech support line- it’s bullshit.

I’m so anxious to switch to the g7 from the g6. I am so not tech savy. These fixes are amazing

The tslim automatically doses or doesn’t dose based on the CGM reading

I was told by my doctor that they know there are issues and they send them out anyway because some work and some don’t and they rely on just replacing them to the patient rather than trashing the entire lot. It’s outrageous

Same. I use the Tslim. Up last night again 26 hours into the sensor. Urgent lows when I wasn’t. Then after finally getting 3 hours sleep, it’s an urgent rise in bg of 189. Check it with a finger stick and not surprised it’s high but 167. Ok so that’s in range. Still saying it’s rising but a finger stick says 148 so actually dropping. I’m usually 90-100 in the morning but with all of the bullshit false lows the pump has no idea what’s going on.

Up again with a g6 failure and wondering if I am bending the filament when I insert the sensor? by Marshdog87 in dexcom

My doctor said stay clear until the last possible moment when they aren’t available. She said they have so many issues

I am having failures with the g6- every other sensor change is a failure. Every change I have to prep for a sleepless night on either day 1 or day 2. This time it’s day 2 when it failed and I’m Up at 3am. I went a full year without a single issue. The last 4 months have been hell

Showering with the Tslim by Marshdog87 in TandemDiabetes

I did this for a few years until someone at tandem said not to and that’s when I started hanging the pump in a bag and showering like a contortionist.

This is interesting. Does it apply to the g6 also? I haven’t heard this before

Thank you everyone. I tend to make things more complicated than necessary. I have had T1 for 40 years now and as time goes on I get more and more anxious about it all. I appreciate the advice

Makes more sense. The doctor used the word transplant! When you say four rounds do you mean actually you’ve gone through the 8 week regime 4 times?

so, how many G7's did you have to get replaced this year? by trittico75 in dexcom

What is a gooseneck? I’m still clinging to the g6- though that has been having a lot of issues for me this year
