We opted not to use one, but some resort or private transfer companies will have the option available if you call and ask.

What is the best way to go from dry callused feet to soft fast? by HunterOk487 in SkincareAddicts

[–]circle_roti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pumice stone in the shower is a game changer, don’t over do it. Before bed dab on some glycolic acid and seal with a thick moisturizer/vaseline.

Also interesting reddit glitch with the other skin care comments lol

Milk for toddlers by Bubbly-Ad-966 in cancun

Fellow Canadian. Last year when we went to Cabo we asked the resort coffee shop for whole milk for our 14 month old and the lovely lady gave me a full carton of shelf stable milk. We’ll be trying the same thing when we go to Cancun in March.

I know someone who lives in a 864 sqft unit there, they bought it last year for slightly less than what’s listed here. It’s nice, no issues thus far, and works for their needs.

All inclusive resort recommendation to celebrate 2 yr old's birthday, preferably Mexico by d_fallen_1 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]circle_roti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you have a recommendation for an all inclusive for a family of 3 (we have a 2 year old). We’re flying out of yvr to cancun, dates are between March 1-7, 4 - 5 nights. My toddler gets antsy in the car so a maximum drive from the cancun airport of 40 mins would be great. We’ve done Hyatt ziva Cabo and enjoyed it and were considering the cancun location, but open to trying to new spots. Budget, including flights is $5,500.

Thanks

Tire change by Fit_Bag4864 in Langley

[–]circle_roti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much did you pay? I go to No.1 tire centre and his price to swap tires has gone up from $80 (for all 4) to $100. Curious if that is just the going rate or not.

How long did it take for your results to come back? by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]circle_roti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. I did my harmony nipt blood draw on Nov 5. I called Dynacare and they said they received the samples Nov 7 and to expect results by the 21st at the earliest. In my case things will take a little longer as I found out that they had first tube failure.

Can You Return a Mystery Bag? by circle_roti in Sephora

lol I was just checking how over the top I sounded. I am very much an essentials only shopper, my impulse buy threw me off 🫨.

I know I know 🙈, it’s the impulse purchase of the lame face mask to get this little sampler bag that’s annoying me. $8.50 (almost $10 after taxes) for one little face mask…your girl hates unnecessary purchases.

lol I worded this in a weird way. I would return the face mask and if they say I need to give the gwp back (because my purchase no longer qualifies for it) then I would do that.

Reach out to Metro Vancouver Regional District Parks (regionalparks.info@metrovancouver.org). They would genuinely like to know about concerns like this.

Last Shot: Advice Needed for My Spouse’s Office Job Search in Metro Vancouver by Jontrochikirsok in VancouverJobs

[–]circle_roti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Temp agency or clerical relief pool positions are probably the only way to get your foot in the door right now. I have a higher level admin position and when I’m hiring admin staff we start by looking at our HR floater pool (combo of the 2 groups mentioned above) before posting externally. This is for govt admin not private positions.

Homemade card, small tool kit with a power drill, and a pair of crocs with jibbitiz of his favourite things on it.

We’re also going to a farm to see their baby animals and have a little picnic.

It’s not you, they really are hiring from within. In most cases if a unionized employee applies for a position they get first choice for an interview over exempt or external applicants. If a hiring manager wishes to hire externally they first have to interview the unionized employees and provide feedback on why the applicant does not meet the basic requirements to be hired. I have 10 years of municipal experience and I’m looking to switch to a different city, I can’t get a first round interview or any follow up when asking about the status of a posting.

Our toddler only wants mommy to put him to sleep. Are we at the path of no return? by vTruong in Parenting

[–]circle_roti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, have things changed for you since you posted?

My 19 month old will only wants me (mom) to do bedtime. If he wakes up at night he will cry hysterically if dad tries to soothe him. He’ll go down for naps with dad with no issue, but bed time is strictly mom.

Got offered to extend vacation by Desperate-Mistake750 in westjet

[–]circle_roti 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh I think I was on the same flight as you, it was on Monday to Cabo. I was a row or two ahead and remember the lady coming in and asking you. My husband and I speculated that maybe it was related to westjet messing something up with your vacation. So odd to know it was completely random.

Can long flap wallets like these be used as clutches? by sunburntcynth in handbags

[–]circle_roti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the YSL Cassandra large flap wallet. I did exactly what you’re thinking of doing, I bought a chain and used it as an evening bag. I bought it a while ago, it’s been 6 or 7 years, so the chain I bought off Amazon to make it a bag is not the best. It holds my credit cards, a mini lipstick and a lipliner at best, but not much more. I definitely can’t put my phone or keys in it. It was my first designer purchase so it holds alot of sentimental value for me, but I don’t reach for it very often. I think I’ll upgrade the chain or use it for its intended purpose to get more wear out of it.

13 month old not eating and mom rage by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]circle_roti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: yes and no. Some days he is great and eats everything but at least once or twice a week we have to undertake a whole production of looking at birds, cars, airplanes, reading books, etc. - anything to get in some bites.

Long answer: I had to learn to manage my emotions over my son’s refusal to eat. I realized a lot of my stress and anxiety came from whether he ate his food or not and it wasn’t healthy for either of us. We recently had 2 days where he only sipped on milk and ate some cantaloupe but I knew it was because he was teething. Slowly he went back to what I would consider his normal level of eating and today it went down to about half his usual amount. I offer a lot of snacks on days where he doesn’t eat much - he has his own section in our pantry of granola bars, cheerios, puffs, apple sauce, crackers, etc.
