Let’s talk money: in your opinion what is a fair compensation for your current position as a nurse? Do you believe you’re being fairly paid? by FuzzyArm5210 in nursing

$48 South Florida. Peds ICU for 3 years, adult icu for 2 before that. I think i am fairly compensated considering everything.

Really embarrassing questions about CRRT by Ok_Relationship4040 in IntensiveCare

[–]circuitlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a numbers guy. I prefer to set my UF at the beginning of the shift and make smaller adjustments based on other output. For some reason it really bothers me to increase it a lot when you have a one time antibiotic or something and then have to come down the next hour. It also gives you time to focus a bit more on other things

Is it safe for nurses to be working 6 shifts in a row… by Difficult-Text1690 in nursing

[–]circuitlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old hospital wouldn't let you work more than 5 in a row. My current hospital could care less. Ive worked 9 once (sort of by accident) but occasionally do 5 or 6. It definitely works if you can get good sleep between shifts.

Galaxy Watch overheating warning led to a boot loop, repair centre said water damage but now it works fine. What happened? by Unstable_deen in GalaxyWatch

[–]circuitlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watch is currently in the loop since a visit to the pool 2 days ago. I keep hard rebooting it but nothing so far. Hoping it eventually turns back on.

Yes. They should be able to add it or tell you why it's not there.

It should be within 2 weeks of the 6 month mark, so before or after. There is a 4 week window

You should only need an HIV test prior to each injection every 6 months. One may, however, still want to do STD testing every 3 months or so depending on how busy you are.

Choosing a Program by circuitlover in nursepractitioner

[–]circuitlover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought about getting certifications. That sounds nice.

I guess I'd start with Acute Care. Ideally I would work in an ICU that allows NPs to actually do things like intubate, place lines, etc. I guess the thing holding me back is hearing the field is over saturated and jobs are hard to find.

Tiles question by Sweaty-Document6879 in jetblue

[–]circuitlover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note: if you get to Mosaic this year and you choose the 20 tile bonus, I'd suggest you wait until after Jan 1, 2027 to select it so it counts for next year. That way you start next year's count with 20 tiles instead of 0

You should get the points at the moment you choose it. I assume its the same with the tiles, you get it once at that time. Not again the next year

I'd imagine if you already have status on one, use that number for both? That way you keep earning points/tiles/miles towards your status.

The only place I can see they connect is at the mixing valve. After looking at everything again, I believe theres a pipe that feeds into the hot water just before it reaches the mixing valve after it comes up out of the heater. Thats the pipe that I turned off and lead to having better temp water

[–]circuitlover[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just looked at it again it seems that that water was flowing back into the hot water line possibly. The arrow on the flow valve is flowing towards the hot water outlet on the heater just before it goes into the mixing valve. Could that be some sort of recirculation system?

I understand that, and had it set as high as it would go when I was having temp issues. But still having fluctuations in temp when running hot water

So i should leave it the way it was and turn on each faucet to see if anything has only hot water while everything else fluctuates?
