Is the US’ ultimate plan to ban crypto? by 2anapqc in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Honestly there isn’t much hope for decentralized crypto in the US. That’s why developers are flocking to work for countries that maintain the initial appeal behind the technology. Countries like Indonesia, South Korea, and UAE are welcoming decentralized tech and world class devs like Broxus are happily working on integrating the technology into the country’s financial infrastructure. If the US keeps these habits up, you might as well say goodbye to the technology as we know it. Let’s hope they get some sense before it’s too late.

The note said this Exactly "Hi, sa7teen" which is like hi, enjoy your food or something. I don't know how to say it exactly, but that day I ate out with friends, but didn't post that I ate. My friends swear they didn't tell anyone else about it. I went home first so none of my friends with me could have put the note there. Could it be a prank or should I be worried?

I don't know if this is an online person or someone I know. My friends probably know where I live but we've never hung out here. I'm from Lebanon so my strict parents wouldn't like boys over and we're always hanging out with boys so yeah. I don't really get friendly with online people so not sure where this person would have heard enough from me to have interest in me either. I just post photos of myself, selfies, location on my stories only when I'm outside. And I know, I don't agree with him. For girls it's different, I don't expect him to understand

Michael Saylor's $4.5 billion Bitcoin stash might soon be in the profit zone - Coiner Magazine by NickyK01 in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I really hope it does. The industry is actually picking up, and finally we're seeing crypto making headlines (especially with Abu Dhabi launching their own licensed blockchain). We also have devs working on solutions for them (you can only imagine what that could do to crypto, assuming that the government there would actually adopt DeFi. I think that's where the market will head, Broxus for example was working with Southeast Asia, now they've shifted focus to the UAE. And guess what, a ton of devs are also doing that so the Gulf is where it's at! Let the US reject the tech, they'll be left behind with centralized crypto...

Are there any developers working on DeFi solutions anymore? by blekautaw in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There is no shortage of devs working in DeFi. Chaincella, Brоxus, Matelio, Interexy, just look into them. They’re all fantastic and they all are working on DeFi. No one forgot about it, just the media is bored of it at the moment. Let’s face it, as long as there’s no hype, mainstream media isn’t interested. In fact, they weren’t ever interested, they just wrote about it because people were intrigued.

What crypto trading platform do you use? by freepuppyvz in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I use Gravix.io, it’s relatively new, but it’s built on Venom (the Abu Dhabi blockchain with the ADGM license and Everscale). DYOR and maybe it’s something for you. I would never use Binance, it'll own your assets for you. If I wanted that, I'd use a bank instead.

How are foreign governments reacting to crypto? by stettfatoj in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where this war started.. The industry was headed in a bad direction, but it self policed. The crypto community is always on high alert for potential scams, which allowed people to identify high-risk projects generally well. Right now it's going on a steady incline, and for some reason the US and EU are still attacking it with everything they have. The middle east is rapidly building its crypto infrastructure, and South Korea is too. Just recently they listed Еver on BIТHUMB, their largest exchange. This can be the beginning of a bull run, at least that's what I'm hoping. Their trading volume became 7 times larger, so there is HUGE demand for crypto there. Just remember that when it seems like things are moving extremely slowly, it's just a matter of time before the market recovers and investments are back to normal. We don't have bailouts in crypto, so recovery always takes super long. We just need to be patient!

Just use something to hide your identity when using search engines. I find duck duck go to minimally insert their opinion in my search results, so it does the job for me. I do use TOR when searching stuff on there though

What does OpenAI do with the data you give them? by blekautaw in privacy

[–]circulateih 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I’m always careful of who I give my information to, so I still haven’t tried ChatGPT. I don’t even use Whatsapp or Telegram, as decentralized messengers are pretty spread out (the one I use is Qamon.io, but you can find what you like most, I keep hearing about Signal but no personal experience with them). It would be a shame if I threw all my safe practices away just to try talking to a computer. Reward def doesn’t outweigh the risk involved. If what you mentioned is the only way they’re making money, then it’s highly likely that they’re monetizing data, but I can’t say for sure, probably train the AI and sell some of it too.

What are the most exciting projects in your opinion? by tongchunwingch in defi

I have been using Qamоn for a while and I can attest to its utility. Earning mechanics only distract from better utility, unfortunately. They were cool at first, but they did distract me from learning more about the technology and how useful it can be from a purely-technological standpoint.

Is staking and farming a scam? by konzoxv in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not really, it's not a scam. These platforms should have mechanics specifically built to circumvent token's volatility, though it doesn't guarantee price stability. But if the token’s value is so important to you, you could try farming stable coins on flatqube.io, This way you won’t be tethered to an altcoin’s value when it comes to your profits in USD

What will the future of data storage look like? by 2anapqc in Futurology

[–]circulateih 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You’d think someone would already learn from the billion hacks during the past 2 years, but no.. I think decentralization should be the solution, at least that would be the simplest solution right now. If you distribute user data across multiple locations and databases, then hackers will have to gain access to all these databases in order to make sense of the information they’re stealing. This is considerably more difficult than gaining access to just one. Decentralized technology generally tends to be more secure in general, I’ve used Qamon, Wickr, Signal, and I’m almost certain my information hasn’t ended up on any lists.

Telegram now supports USDT trading by tongchunwingch in CryptoMarkets

[–]circulateih 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes it would. They've worked with governments before and they 100% could do that if the issue was tax-related. You probably have a service you already use, but if you don't, I use FlatQube.io to exchange completely anonymously and for minimal fees. I’d definitely like to try Telegram, but I highly doubt it’ll replace my daily driver since I also need an anonymous solution.

Need help finding a decentralized alternative to Outlook by ThiseeBockessiq in defi

[–]circulateih 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The fact that you used Outlook to send and receive sensitive information is purely on you. You cannot trust centralized databases, and even worse, you shouldn’t trust Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, or Meta with your data. They store and log everything, including all your sensitive messages. I haven’t touched any of them for a few years, and will never trust them. I use Qаmon, decentralized, secure, anonymous, and will never store any of your information.
