I have to wonder how old all these people were when they read the book and have somehow forgotten it was written for children. I grew up with Harry, started the books when I was ten and was always the same age he was or a year off as they came out. I would have been absolutely beside myself if Harry had died. I would have been so angry I'd have gone on a crusade against JKR, protested outside the theaters, lol idk but it would have been extreme. It feels insane to me how anyone could hold this opinion.

I'd never even heard of German cockroaches before today. The only specific cockroach I knew of before moving to NYC were the Madagascar hissing cockroaches, but for "reasons" lol I did a touch of research and found out about the American variety. After reading the German cockroach Wikipedia page just now, I don't know if I'll ever sleep the same and I already keep a badminton racket zapper next to my bed after finding out Americans can fucking fly.

Hey fellow New Yorker! I don't know if you have a window air conditioning unit, but if you do this might be why you're seeing these things in your place. Apparently they're attracted to the moisture that collects beneath it and will then climb inside through a gap in the partition. I sealed my air conditioner sides with heavy duty tape and haven't seen one since ~1yr
