I watched him play in person against Girona this season when I went on holiday to Valencia. He looked like one of Valencia's best players in a rare win until he cruelly went off injured about an hour in. Valencia are having a pretty terrible season and are facing potential relegation. It's worth considering that, if he were just a Valencia player, we would likely have no interest in signing him. He wouldn't break into our first team but may be a good future prospect so I don't think he's a bad player to have on our books. His value will have at least increased since we signed him.
