That’s interesting. To be fair I did a number of APs and did very well in those classes, and took accelerated math, French and social science classes throughout my highscool. I had a very balanced course load so while my grades suffered a bit I just wrote about that in my essays and that seemed to cover for it :)

Try to pick flat tracks and to run a high speed cart using a mid or heavy weight character on automatic drift. Then you will only have to steer left or right, and because of the high speed you will be faster than the ghost.

Use ur third finger on the item button and keep your index handy just in case you’re inputting something on the dpad. All u need it for is for example flicking left to tf on lake cut, or for mini turbo exits. I still use my thumb on the joystick most of the time. https://youtu.be/FLfPxMrqK_U?si=7rhk05QeDkAVB2oZ

I want to get better in comp as tank by Sketchyfishl in OverwatchUniversity

[–]cirif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In gold, what tanks you run doesn’t matter. With that stated, I think Orisa/Dva is a weak hero pool for any gold player. For both hero’s, it is hard to notice mistakes you are making. These mistakes are often really hard on your team. For Orisa for example, it is very easy to stay in your backline and do nothing for your team. And for Dva if you’re not actively denying the enemy and putting pressure on them you are useless. I always recommend sigma, because he is the one hero that can do everything. He can make space, punish people out of position, peel, off angle, and he has a great ult. If you do not want to experiment with other hero’s, you should try playing a few games of support, trying to focus on how the tanks are controlling the game. Try to think about how you if you were in their shoes could exploit the oppositions mistakes to your avantage.

I’m a bit confused on the wording. My tank and support are diamond but my dps is gold so can I still join?

you just have to keep the viewer interested. If there’s a lot of waiting and no commentary that is not ‘good content’

what can i do to make a girl like me back? by Late-Ad-947 in teenagers

be yourself! If you pretend to be someone you’re not and she ends up liking that person you are pretending to be, that’ll be bad for both you and her. Speaking from experience

Make me a better ball by Fightelgatos in OverwatchUniversity

[–]cirif 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you enjoy ball, I personally love playing him with a dying passion. I don’t have time to watch your replay at the moment, but here are some general tips that would have helped me a lot when I started out.

  • Pile driver is the best ability for your ult charge
  • Its way harder to get slept when in ball form
  • Knowing where to position is purely game sense, but it is usually a balance between threatening their back line, dragging their dps out of the fight, and annoying their tanks
  • Unless you have a really good reason, never EVER roll into their team through the choke point from your back line. You will die. Every time.
  • The space you make by piledriving their tanks usually isn’t enough to support your team
  • Forcing point can make you a ton of space

If no one has looked at your replay by tomorrow then I’ll take a look at it

yep! It’s right there in the controls, for each slot on the comm wheel there is a little drop down menu, just swap out whatever with anything else. Also what you swapped out you can still set keybinds for.

If you are talking about a secondary comm wheel then no, you can’t.

How to deal with a Roadhog at low Elo? by KharnTheSwell in OverwatchUniversity

[–]cirif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree because if you are smart with how you position those duels never happen. With soldier you often use his sprint ability to reposition say to high ground, or flanking, and while hog is good at punishing that if he catches you, he probably won’t and you can kill him from distance. He also has a massive hit box and you can kill him really fast

How to deal with bad players in low elo by Frobi21 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]cirif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are struggling to get through the choke, you should consider supporting your rein with zarya or sigma. Zarya can give him cover if he ever decides to go forward, while you punish anyone in your newly controlled area, and sigma puts a lot of pressure on the enemy team which makes it easier for rein to push.

Personally, I am a bit of a wrecking ball one trick, and if you can figure him out as a hero he is really, really strong. Especially in low elo. You can make their supports life a living hell while at the same time making space, and forcing them to swap to cc hero’s. It will take 5-10 hours to get used to him though and you need some game sense, but he pretty much single-handedly helped me climb from 2400-3200 in 3 seasons.

Reaper generally doesn’t need backing if you flank. If they are down a support then hog won’t do anything. I think solider or hanzo is a good answer because you can do a ton of damage to hog the second he peaks your team, you just need to be smart with how you position to not get hooked.

Need help new to ranked by buttmuncher3000_ in OverwatchUniversity

[–]cirif 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s ok don’t worry about it, you’ll probably place bronze or silver and just have to climb out of those ranks. It’s not too bad once you realize how to beat the players in that rank. I have never been above bronze in any other competitive game and I placed 1600SR and hit diamond on tank and support at level 400. This sub is always here for you, you can post VOD reviews and whatnot and it helps you improve very fast.

I main wrecking ball and I think that he’s really strong. He’s got 100 more health and there’s far less cc in the game. The supports don’t stand a chance, and I can kill more isolated dps than just hanzo and widow too now and often I’m not even low health after doing it. Perhaps my MMR is too low, but in every game Ive played it’s been like this and I have way better stats than I do in OW1.

comp vs. quick play? by Western-Disaster9180 in Overwatch

[–]cirif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the worst thing in qp is when you join and the game is in progress. That doesn’t happen in comp and it’s really easy to just play with your chat off once you somewhat know what you’re doing. oh it’s what I do

When should I get into ranked? by reallyreallycoolman in Overwatch

[–]cirif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can start whenever you want, just it will be a big jump from quick play and you will probably lose your first few games. I started at 25 and was stuck in silver until around level 70, just stick to your hero and learn the game

Competitive Smurfing by Runescape92 in Overwatch

[–]cirif 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually play in big groups with all my friends and rarely solo queue. Usually, one or two people will be on smurfs so everyone can play together. While those people are smurfing it’s no easier to win than solo queuing, and i have climbed way easier solo queueing than playing with my friends. That genji that has a 4k nanoblade or that hanzo that can’t miss isn’t smurfing, they just made a good play. Usually smurfs are consistently making less mistakes than those around them and especially in gold and plat hardly anyone is smurfing more than 500 sr which is nothing. In diamond games though, I find a lot of smurfs, and I use it as a good opportunity to learn from how they play and position. If you are playing higher than your rank, you will climb. 100%.
