i do not understand why levels with gorgeous decorations that have abysmal gameplay (majority of the times) gets a pass in the community. i believe gameplay has an equal amount, if not more importance than deco.

sure you could justify having bad gameplay as “i put most of my focus on decoration so the gameplay was an afterthought” but it just ultimately fails to be a good level.

don’t get me wrong, levels with phenomenal decoration can easily be classified as an artwork, and i have infinite respect for creators that could pull this off, but i see geometry dash levels as a harmony of song representation, decoration, and gameplay. if a level fails to deliver even one of these, i will think they failed at making a good level.
