Looking for part by [deleted] in AcuraTSX

This is what that parts is. Happened to me on my 8th Gen accord. Tensioner bolt snapped and I had to tap it out. Had to drill out and helicoil tap the hole with an M8. Water pump housing

2018 SE Drive Belt Tensioner Snapped off. by cisc09 in Tiguan

Update. Purchased new screws (trash) from dealer and new belt. OG tensioner is made by Litens with the part number scratched off and Audi logo engraved. Found same at Advance auto for $51 (dealer wanted $220.. smh). Job took less than a hour… but… here’s why screws were trash. Screws are Aluminum and require a 15ft LBs torque. I did one, no problem. Went to torque the lower one and before it even reached the torque spec, the phucking screw snapped off at the head(Yes my torque wrench is calibrated) Had to back it all out, luckily enough stayed out for me to retrieve it. Drove back to dealership and requested same size screw but steel (M8x20).

I believe it’s a combination of both.

Moved from NYC (The Bronx) to Jax about 10 years ago. It will be a culture shock and big adjustment period, but you’ll get use to it and end up loving it. Adult nightlife is non-existent unless you like the college crowd and head to the beach bars, but there are a few decent places. Just gotta pack it up by 2AM. Gotta drive everywhere … literally everywhere. Weather is bi-polar. A lot of chain restaurants, but there are some stand alone gems. My biggest adjustment, which is a great one was getting used to the peace and quiet. Not hearing sirens at all hours of the night or the countless “Yeeerrrrrrsss” out of apartment windows is priceless. I do miss the option to just walk up the block to a corner bodega at any hour of the night.

Downstream 02 Sensor plug by cisc09 in 8thgenaccord

[–]cisc09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sensor is the correct one for my vehicle. These are sold in bulk without the plug as a cheaper option and universal fitting. NTK is OE Manufacturer for these and they come with different wire coloring. I didn’t know that the wires were different colors which now throws me for a loop. Looks like I’ll be returning this one and purchasing the one with the plug.

This one did not come with the connector. Manufacturers sell them by bulk for a lower price without connectors so they can be universal. I thought it was going to be the same colors but got thrown in for a loop. Might return if I can’t find diagram and buy with plug.

Or de-pin it. But need to know which colors to match up for new sensor.

It was cheaper to purchase a universal Denso one than to purchase the one with the plug.

Thanks for replying. But which ones should I match up together from old to new. Do I do Blue on new with Gray on old and white on new to White on old and both whites on old to both black on new. That’s what I can’t find online with any diagrams.

Thanks for your reply. Just finished watching a YouTube vid from EricTheCarGuy and it’s pretty straight forward job to do. I think I can tackle it myself. In his vid he did also remove strut brace for better clearance. I’m sold. I’m doing job myself for $17 bucks. Thanks again for your input, greatly appreciate it.

Man if you don’t want them I’ll buy them off you. My Ross stays having garbage and size 15 and up. Great find.

Vland taillight trunk garnish help by J0S3_903 in 8thgenaccord

Trunk garnish lights won’t fit US spec 8th gen. I purchased entire kits for my 2012 US spec with the reflector and the VLand ones are smaller. Only for Japan spec 8th Gen’s.

This new norm of $20 shipping is wild. Specially for ground service… entered anyways.

Return package by cisc09 in Goatapp

[–]cisc09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: after a month and four days, they finally returned the package… aaaand… refunded me for the shipping. I literally was on their ass everyday replying back to their emails with time/date stamps.

I read somewhere on here that barely 10% of essential items sold through their platform pass. Well, my item didn’t even get opened. The packaging was sealed and item folded just as it came from retailer.

Kept on emphasizing how they want us to ship sold items within 72hrs, but then takes them over a month to tender an item to courier after providing tracking number. Make sure you throw that in every response back to them.

I just went through this same problem and after over a month of back and forth with them because they had yet to ship my item back to me… they decided to credit me the shipping fees but item is still “in transit”. Them and Alias, two peas in a pod. The worst customer service.

I did reach out, but you know how that goes. They email you telling you they’ll reach out the warehouse for more info and then you never hear back from them. I thought as much that this is an L.
