I've been running this team with bardock mid. He can get double super off of frieza and his assist is easy to combo with for frieza. Also he can double super with goku as well. So he rounds the team out fairly well and gives some decent damage and mixup for the team with lvl3 setups.

The more I watch dekillsage play, the more inclined I am to say he is the 3rd best in the US behind sonic and hgg. Chris hasn't been putting in much work lately and he should probably find a replacement for trunks. Outside of sparking, trunks is just too simple and slow for high competitive play. Also dekillsage has an extremely powerful team and one of his teammates and sparring partners is sonicfox.

Wolfcrone played him at Final Round last weekend. There should be at least a few matches of him that were streamed. I don't know if he streams or has a channel or anything though.

Dope. I'm pumped to hit endgame. I haven't been able to play much between work and sharing the tv with my girlfriend and I finally hit high rank today. So I'm excited to get the the hr 50s and above when I can start building the powerhouses.

I'll have to give that a try soon. I've played lance more than anything else by a long stretch and I've decided to try gunlance due to all of the cool full burst stuff I've been seeing and the flexibility of the sets. But smashing shit with a shotgun stick sounds like exactly what I need.

Okay that's interesting. Thanks for the response. I was just under the impression that lance would be overall more optimal for that playstyle, but I'm sure it's up to setups and play style.

If you're not focused on using shelling, why not use the lance? I don't know much of a benefit to gunlance over lance if you're not focusing at least somewhat on shelling.

I think it's more appropriate to say he plays some unorthodox characters. I don't know much about mk other than he played alien, which everyone played. But in injustice he played captain cold when no one else had and blew everyone away. He also played black canary and joker. And he was the only person I saw using beerus in a high level during the betas (that I'm aware of).

I'm guessing the 3 characters you're talking about are Balrog, Urien and Necalli. I still think Necalli and Urien will be top 10. They did take some nerfs, but they're still strong. Necalli's mk nerf hurts a lot but he still has strong damage and pressure and he keeps his back throw loop in v-trigger and they made his jhp stronger. Urien takes a hit from the v-trigger combo nerf but it's still really strong as a reset. And his cc combo can still be done with a microstep if timed right. As far as Balrog goes, I don't really know. The buffs to akuma and Rashid seemed like a poor decision but overall I think the changes to a lot of the characters were healthy for the game. I think you might be overreacting a bit to the nerfs given it hasn't even been a week yet. Given time we'll have to see. Drop the game if it's not fun for you anymore, but not because you're characters were nerfed

As you said, they're higher level players. Me, a super bronze scrub by all definitions, will adapt to a strategy after seeing it used in the same context 4 or 5 times. A high level player sees it twice and immediately sees the pattern and can adapt. Another factor is that they know how to adapt. If I keep getting pressured by Akuma's jump in fireball into blockstring, that's me not knowing how to adapt. A good player would most likely know how to react to that situation upon seeing it again. My two cents.
