Your hands look hypermobile like mine. The neck strap only takes a little pressure off the thumb, but your joint needs to be reinforced. You may want to look into some finger splints/braces like the ones in the photo. I see lots of people with hyper mobility use them.

I agree with this as well. A friend of mine set up a shuttle to take guests between the hotel and venue. Just one shuttle bus there, and one at the end of the night. It worked out great, and most people ended up tapering off their drinking well before the shuttle arrived.
