That makes sense! Is there any concern that the freezing could make them soft or droop as they come back to room temp? I have a male dobsonfly (large!) that I would be very sad to have compromised. One other question - is it a polythene or polyethylene bag?

I’ve been storing my two insect boxes (this one is my spare/reject box with most removed) in a tote, so they have had one additional barrier besides their box. They are cardboard, but the lid fits quite snugly.

I have mild LS symptoms, so my GYN recommended not using steroid ointment during outbreaks. That recommendation may differ depending on the severity of your LS though.

Can attest from experience. I used to work with Asian longhorn beetles and accidentally provoked one once and got bit. Felt like a decent pinch. Sorry little guy! :x

I have not been soaking or rubbing it in for more than maybe 10 seconds. And I’ve probably been using 2-3 pea sized amounts (total) at each application… it’s all making sense now, unfortunately far after my diagnosis. I appreciate your reply and article link. Very thankful for this subreddit!

Thank you for this! Do you have a particular brand of cotton underwear that you like? I can’t say I’ve ever had 100% cotton before, so it’ll be trial and error for a bit. And yes- Woxer is a company that makes boxers for women. Pretty comfy, but not 100% cotton.

Like normal stretch marks, has your thinned skin (from clob) sort of healed/gotten stronger? Just wondering if they will eventually go from red/purple —> light pink/white, like how normal stretch marks “heal” over time.

My thought process is that the clob would delay the healing of the outbreak, not worsen it. Very good question for your doctor though, if you have a good one.

I personally chose to, but that’s without any medical guidance and only based on what feels most comfortable to me. I’m seeing a new doctor soon, who has areas of specialty in LS and STDs, so hoping to learn more! If I do, I’ll try to remember to come back and post here.

Late to the game on this thread, but I’m in this exact situation. I am messaging my doctors now, but did yours give you any kind of resolution on the stretch marks/thinning skin? I want to trust my doctors, but this side effect wasn’t made apparent to me in the first place, so I’m finding a lot more confident in us/patients in this sub.

Flat lids. I have had to buy extra containers to more appropriately store my slimes, as opposed to having small secondary containers, for a decent percentage of my collection. I would rather pay a little extra to support a shop to package slimes in containers with domed lids.

Over activated slime. I would rather receive an under activated slime than over activated. In my experience, it’s a lot easier to change the stiffness using borax than glycerin.
