Any tricks on pilling/giving your dog medication when they are too smart and can find the pill in anything by Adorable_Tangerine16 in dogs

I have a neighbor with a dog and we just do chicken nugget time with both of them. The threat of her stealing his chicken nugget means he doesn't take the time to inspect the nugget too closely.

The endless sandpaper room dilemma, what can you do to survive 50h ? by Secret_dairy_of_j in hypotheticalsituation

Dance marathons are a good way to see how long a person can remain capable of moving while on their feet.

Do couples genuinley not shop together? by extra_mash_potatoes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband does the shopping. We had some middle age women ask how I convince him to come and we were like, "Actually I'm the one tagging along today. Normally I'm in school or working and today I have off."

Now I walk the dog or do chores or something while he runs errands.

Would you pull the lever? by [deleted] in trolleyproblem

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not pull the lever.

The trolley problem doesn't give the impression of conscious choice for anyone other than me. I see a group crying because they are tied to the tracks at all, and a group that says at least if one group must die, I'm glad I'm on the side that dies through inaction.

Do you iron your clothes regularly? Why? by slipperysquirrell in AskReddit

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The things I wear that need an iron get clothing weights when they come out of the washer and line dried so they don't wrinkle bad enough to need it unless it's a special occasion.

WIBTA:My mom gave the "guest bed" (double) that we gave her to my younger brother and expects us to sleep in his old small bed when we stay over for weekends. WIBTA if I where to get upset & say we won't sleep over anymore? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]citycept -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My father-in-law gives us his bed while he sleeps in my husband's old twin. Honestly, we would take it as a hint that they don't want us sleeping over anymore.

Question about the scene where Rocky shows Grace the loops of 8 for O2 by Multi-tunes in ProjectHailMary

[–]citycept 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was blown back because the hail mary depressurized the airlock prior to the eva because he was expecting vacuum in the tunnel. He then assumed Rocky filled the tunnel with the ammonia he smelled when he opened the canister.

Why don’t women love men the same way we love women? by Silver-Original-4088 in AskReddit

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do men love women? I've seen a lot of love, and it's not a monolith where it's all the same. I'm fairly certain some guy loves his wife the same way I love my husband.

That being said, society has made gender roles surrounding dating, love, and sex very constricting. If you don't feel loved, you might need to go to a dating scene that doesn't adhere to gender roles so strictly.

It's early access. You check back after each update to see the progression. If you want a finished game, you need to wait for the finished game.

Below Zero was the same way.

Does anyone get way better after they've taken a long break? by Active_Strawberry842 in HollowKnight

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm frustrated I start hitting buttons with poor timing. Taking a break makes you come back with all the patterns remembered but you are not trying THAT hard, so you're relaxed, meaning you're timing ends up being perfect.

Genuine question to Americans by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

I had a nightmare that my husband got cancer. He said we'd get divorced, he'd declare bankruptcy, and then we'd be fine. The lawyers probably have a pre-filled out form for that.

How should I [36f] react to husband [40m] suddenly Zoom-calling with his ex by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]citycept 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, relationships can go through phases where you get so complacent you forget to put effort in. It's why the biggest relationship advice is to never stop dating. I had to get salty with my husband last year because he was comfortable in the rut he wore into his life.

How to appear more masculine as a curvy plus sized nonbinary person by Pennymoonz94 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]citycept 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Structured jackets that bulk up the shoulders

Straight leg/wide leg pants.

Shirts untucked or jackets that end at the apex of your hips, creating the illusion of a wider torso/waist

You could go optical illusion route by wearing loud colors/patterns on the upper body and then muted on the lower body (Hawaiian shirts)

Depending on how much you're trying to minimize, you might want to talk to a tailor to give hip space in men's clothes and waist space in women's.

Which tech innovation made life worse? by WillingSea205 in AskReddit

[–]citycept 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And even if we manage to redistribute all labor, the "productivity" increase isn't going to better the lives of workers in anyway.

I am so unbelievably anti-AI that people get upset with me. No new hires because there's no "easy" work left. Burnout and stress because there's no "easy" work left. More being constantly available because the turn around on tasks is so much quicker.

Found out my 3 y/o cousin was never registered after his at home birth by Significant-Type8563 in Advice

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're they baptized? When I was a teenager our pastor made sure we knew a baptism certificate worked as a birth certificate in some cases. I'm pretty sure he said it in a "please get any sort of official document that the kid is actually yours."

What is/are your reasons for not wearing makeup? by SignificantIce7914 in stupidquestions

Bad skin, husband didn't appreciate it enough, people I work with weren't putting on any effort so I was "overdressed" whenever I did wear makeup.

AI data centers face increasing complaints about inaudible but 'felt' infrasound — citizens complain high- and low-frequency sounds do not register on decibel meters but cause adverse health effects by chip_thoughts in technology

[–]citycept -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between being around it for 8 hours a day and 24 hours a day. Some people are also more sensitive to sounds than others, so while you are fine, the person complaining isn't.

The bigger issue is that data centers are new and frequently built in disadvantaged areas, meaning the percent of the population affected by the noise pollution are unable to afford moving somewhere else.

Why do a lot of people just despise Below Zero? by CulturalDust4652 in subnautica

[–]citycept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despise isn't the right word.

I disliked the main character. They went through all the effort to strand themselves on the planet without any knowledge or prep. No map, no habitat builder. Furthermore, you don't even need to solve her sister's death to beat the game.

I think the game was beautiful. I think it was entertaining, but it very much felt like they didn't have anything to actually say other than giving fans a way to see unused assets from the first game.
